came from “what would a DeltaRune × WorldTale be like” and came my own non-Canon interpretation of a DeltaRune AU called “DeltaWorld”

Then I'll do Kris and Susie at LightWorld with a performance by Noelle.

@superkirbylover released a bunch of Dark World designs for the EW cast, and I looked at that and said “Yo, that looks like FUN” and I designed my own dark world concepts/interpretations of the boys as a kind of color theory practice

I might do more, IDK, I had a lot of fun though

By the way, all four of these losers have a unique marking on the sole of their boots that light up like sketchers, just because I figured they would probably have that

Special shout-out to @binbunbaka for being the main inspiration behind my own design of ol’ skrunkly (Tord) and the neat hair-streak idea for Edd. They came up with that, I take no credit there

I also own nothing portrayed here, but considering I’m literally nobody in the eyes of the internet, that probably doesn’t need to be clarified

World One: Complete.

The battle between these two and Vexian wasnt too spectacular, and I may post it one day should I get bored, but this was the last major event in world one!

Hopefully I can make a good comic once a week for a bit, but for now we’re on once a month updates, with perhaps some shenanigans sketchdumps sprinkled in. Who knows at this point?

(Also, @actuallyunreal, they seem to like my lil neons despite having no fucking clue what Deltarune is about. Check them out, they have some funny shit, and I sometimes make crossover shenanigans art between their boi’s and mine)

sorry this took so long!! ive been thinking about their designs for a long while

the way i approached them was tackling each of the main edd's theme from a different angle. edd's was soda, which, well, i can't do much with, but in a way eduardo and edd are very similar in a lot of ways so it kind of worked out? still sodajerk themed, although now with glass bottles

matt's theme was magic, so for mark he seemed the kind of guy who would be the "mage" of the group. also, he's probably a homestuck fan, so i took slight inspiration from that

jon was REALLY hard admittingly. i wanted to incorporate some form of death imagery for the longest time because of how funny it is AND how it contrasts to how generally cheery he is. the last remains of it are on his belt. tom's theme was music, and for a while i didn't really know what instrument jon might play. a friend of mine shared that they headcanoned jon to play the double bass, and i was a sucker for it, so revisiting this later with that in mind made it much easier to design a weapon for him

laurel was ALSO hard. i wanted to avoid using purple (matt and mark) and blue (jon and tom), but i still wanted to incorporate those colors in a sense. i tried going for a purple-pink feel, and a much lighter teal. i think it worked out! i like to think laurel has an interest in movies or acting, so, i kind of made her have a director outfit. sorry evil director bingbong
