DragonRune design AU

All of that was drawn back in june when the new chapters were released, but, weirdly, I haven't posted these here at all? Despite these getting really popular on twitter, and reposting it had the same outcome. Anyways, enjoy my rune dragons.

I also drew the Michaels yesterday because I didn't back then.

And a bunch of related sketches and ideas

Side notes:

I feel like I could make Ralsei's design a little more interesting and look less like the original. I regret not making Seam fullbody. Spade King is probably the best one out of these designs. I also feel like I should've made more interesting dragon types. I could've easily give Tasque Manager more floating parts and make Swatch more of a gryffon than a dragon. Missed opportunity to not make Tenna a bug dragon... Gerson being a dragon turtle worked perfect though. Elnina and Lanino turned out perfect... I still love these designs. I also think I worked perfectly with The Knight, having a bit of inspiration from Ridley (Metroid series). And yet I could make ch 1 dragons more medieval looking. Another missed opportunity here is not drawing SCC as a hydra.
