fake panel in old art style !! Joshua's first appearance happens during PTJ Entertainment arc
Can we please get more lore for the yamazaki twins and gun as a father to them. I honestly love this idea.
hii of course ( ˃̵ᴗ˂̵) ♡
You know after Jonggun's childhood arc was released, I started to think that he's probably trying to cut off all ties to his clan: see, he assigned people to look after household and himself went to Korea; he goes by his mother's last name, not by Yamazaki; and he quickly shuts down the whole "Shiro Oni" conversation. If my guess is right, then he likely wouldn't want his children to be yakuza neither. I like to think that years later, when Jonggun settles down, he'll (mostly) abandon the criminal world, and build his own empire. He's still as bloodthirsty as ever though this man NEVER CHANGES.
guess the name "Yamazaki twins" is no longer accurate?… I mean PTJ took it from me anyway when he introduced the actual Yamazaki twins, a.k.a. Shintaro and Shingen. </3 I need help choosing a new alias,,,, idk what to call them, "gunlings" ????

Jonggun as a father:
Him becomig a parent was planned. He decided to have children out of traditional goals — the need for an heir— not out of any particular desire to care for a baby; although he never had anything against babies and even liked them.
He doesn't say it out loud, but deep down he harbors a fear of repeating his parents' mistakes. He never thought much about his own childhood, and his brain never really registered what happened to him as actual child abuse — until his significant other made him realize that. Therefore, he worries that he might project the views on parenting he adopted from the previous generation onto his own children, never breaking the cycle.
Jonggun suffers from alexithymia, it's difficult for him to process his emotions, let alone express them — again, due to the way his childhood unfolded. The twins almost never receive verbal affection, but he makes up for it with actions. He always makes sure there's nothing they lack.
He absolutely can't do baby talk, so he's spoken to them like adults ever since they were born.
Jonggun, of course, at first expressed dissatisfaction regarding boys spending time with "crazy uncle J*nggoo". Well actually Junggoo himself was unsure about it — it's not that he dislikes children, but they can be a real pain in the ass sometimes. But their fears were quickly allayed — the children rarely cried or fussed, and Kim always put their safety first during fun times.
Jonggun hasn't stopped being a fashionista with age; he's the kind of dad who matches clothes with his kid.
Due to his busy work schedule, Jonggun rarely gets to spend time with his children. But when he does, they go fishing, do wood carving, go to restaurants, etc. Father-sons bonding activities. They have a tradition of visiting Japan every year during cherry blossom season.
He kept his past in secret, giving vague answers. Sometimes he sees himself as an actual demon reflected in their oblivious eyes. But when he was really pressed, he opened up about his criminal path, and the twins' opinion on it was... uncertain. At least it explained why there are so many people going for their throats all the time.
In the future, despite not wanting his children to follow in his footsteps, Jonggun nonetheless taught them a lot about martial arts, for which he still harbored a passion. For "educational purposes"… but also because his enemies are still numerous, and his sons need to be able to stand up for themselves in a critical moment.
There's no help from him when it comes to homework. He's dumb!!!!!1

Some facts about Dez and Ehden:
They are identical twins. The white in their hair, eyebrows and eyelashes is caused by poliosis. The only notable physical difference is the younger one's heterochromia, which is also a sign of a melanin production disorder.
They were born with the UI. When waking up from deep sleep, they would for some time operate in an unconscious state, then gradually return to consciousness. They later learned to enter and exit the UI at will.
They have sanguine-phlegmatic personality blend and are the first in their bloodline to grow up without emotional trauma. Ehden, the younger twin, is mischievous and very affectionate, but feels shy around father. Dez, the elder, is more passive and appears to be more “mature”, but he's just plotting in silence.
They were quite clingy as infants; before they entered the walking stage, they wanted to be carried all the time.
Among the first words they learned were "please" and "thank you". Сhances are it was the mother who taught them, because Jonggun doesn't care much about etiquette (in fact, he thinks politeness equals submission, this immature idiot).
They have a ravenous appetite. Anything adults eat, they must try too!!!
They speak Japanese and English, which are the home languages, and also Korean.
The twins have mastered both hand-to-hand combat and armed combat; they prefer the later where Dez uses tonfas, and Ehden brass knuckles. As they matured, they occasionally appeared in underground fighting rings for fun.
soo that's it!! pretty much all I have for them as for right now bc I'm rewriting their lore, we went from pure angst to somewhat fluff I have them since I think 2022 damn the time flew
Tamzy when I catch you Tamzy
