“Alright Sam I worked real hard for dinner. Went all the way to safeway all by myself to pick it up” she’s teasing him. “So you have to eat something. Put down the damn book and dig in.”

He let out a light hum in response, the edge of the blade remaining pressed against the other’s throat. “I don’t mind casting a threat out here and there – even towards you. Maybe, by the way, you should be more aware of your surroundings.” Lucifer took a minor pause, tilting his head a degree. “But hearing you address yourself as my True Vessel, why the sudden acceptance?”
“You scare the HELL outta me, y’know that?” A breath left Dean in a huff, sitting behind the wheel of the Impala and trying to calm his heart down. A hand would reach over and rest against Sam’s knew, to show that Dean couldn’t stay MAD at him.

“Yeah.”
The words slip right between his ribs and stab deep. It’s one of those fears he’s carried around himself for years, and just when he thought he could put it down, that maybe they could move past it...
“Yeah, it was.”
💔
💔 - crying & taking their rage/sorrow/etc out on a wall with their fist
He’d tried. He really had. But sometimes a death just hit too hard.
He’d known Edward and Frieda for a long time. He’d known their son, had mourned with them when the boy was killed, helped their grandson learn the skills to survive till the kid called him Uncle Bobby occasionally.
But to learn that they’d both gone - caught out and ripped apart, when they’d never killed more than a few ghosts in all their time... Nothing even had a reason to go after them for vengeance. Of all the people in the hunting community... they hadn’t deserved it.
He didn’t even hear the door open. Fuelled by half a bottle of whisky, he was leaning against the kitchen wall and pounding it, letting himself cry and vent in a way he never would have permitted himself with any witnesses about.
☹
Send me ☹ and I’ll generate a number to see what my muse will scream at yours, for whatever reason.
------- 21. “I just want to make you happy!”
Blood rushed through Crowley’s pulse point, his forehead was clearly suffering from anger cursing through his vessel body and his face told just as much, he didn’t look happy in the slightest, but how could he when the other person in the room was as stubborn as a mule - so set on hating him he couldn’t see the error in his ways.
“I just want to make you happy, you bloody fool!” Dumb moose of a man, he wouldn’t see generosity and friendliness when it punched him in the nose, or wore a tie and suit.
Goodbye

Sam sighed, his hands shaking as he pressed the call button. He couldn’t call Dean. He knew how that would end. Dean would tell him he wasn’t going to do this. That he wasn’t going to say yes to Lucifer. But Sam was at his wits end. He didn’t see another option. He didn’t see another way out. No, this was the way, he didn’t know how…But something just felt like this was the way.
❝ Cas? Cas it’s me. It’s Sam. I just um…I just wanted to tell someone that I’m…I’m sorry. But I have to do this. I have to do this to protect Dean. It’s the only way. Something makes me feel like…This is really the ONLY way. ❞ Sam took in a deep shaky breath. ❝ Don’t try and find me. And don’t tell Dean till tomorrow. And Cas…Take care of him for me…Please? You always had our backs when we needed this. I’m sorry I couldn’t be stronger.
The phone had rung once, twice before the angel picked up and was greeted by Sam’s voice. Before he could say anything, the other had spilled his thoughts, and his expression had gone from confusion to horrible realization. Sam had grown desperate and thought he’d have no other choice, but Castiel had begged to differ.
Before he even gave Sam to say another word, he interrupted him. “Sam... You are strong. I know-...I know things are difficult right now. There are obstacles and Lucifer seems to be offering the right solution, but trust me when I say there are other ways.” He bit his lip, hoping Sam would listen to reason. Otherwise, he needed to find him. “Where are you, Sam? I want to talk to you, please.” It comes out almost as a plea, the angel desperate to not lose him.
