WELL THEN! 😍 Hello, Amy Berrisford as Demeter.
Since Olivia Carniato (Deme) and Chaska Halliday (Cass) have been off for over three weeks by my count - at least, I saw it on 8 Jan, they weren't there then and haven't been back since - Thalia Smith and Dominique Hamilton have been doing serious swing work for weeks, and I sort of assumed they'd find another former Jellicle to join the girl swings for the Brisbane leg (this being their last week in Melbourne). But no, Amy Berrisford joined the onstage cast before Brisbane! She's played Demeter previously and is artistically associated with this production already in a resident director/choreo capacity. For the record: this is from the Tuesday evening performance 28/01/26 of the 2025 Australia tour; they don't usually perform on a Tuesday and must be doing so because they're closing in Melbourne on Saturday night, rather than doing a 2-show Sunday. I saw three shows last weekend and she definitely wasn't onstage or credited as a performer or swing for any of those shows.
