The war was lost. And not just that, but so much more. The Queen was so sure, this was not how it was supposed to end. They were supposed to win. So much loss. All the seelie blood shed, it hurt her, but especially the loss of two people. Jonathan. Most of the time he seemed so invincible. The first mortal in a long time who could charm her. And now she remembered why she wasn’t supposed to get involved with them. Simple because they were mortal. So delicate, so easy to hurt. And the other one, who she mourned was Meliorn. Her loyal knight, one of the few she trusted. Not only was he murdered, but he was murdered right in front of her eyes.
The war was over, but for the fair folk, hard times were just coming. But before that happened, she needed to do something. Standing outside in the could she waited, until she spotted the tall, dark haired boy. After making sure he was alone she moved fast but quietly approaching him from behind. Maybe this was a bold move, but she needed to do this, before she disappeared. She already made plans, she just needed to tie some loose ends before. This being one of them.
“You killed one of mine. One I cared very much about.”

❝ Daaad..? Why is my toast blue? ❞ With a skeptical look on his face Max poked the sandwich his aunt had wrapped for him earlier this morning. He loved spending time with Isabelle - she was funny and always brought him to amazing places - but her lunch boxes, which she insisted on fixing for him, were a little questionable most of the time. Two weeks ago she had put self-made cookies into his backpack, which had turned rock-hard by the time Max tried to eat them. He had almost chipped his tooth trying to take a bite.
