California voted YES on Prop 50 with a 63.8% - 36.2% outcome. That's almost a 30 point victory.
Zohran Mamdani has been elected Mayor of New York city.
Abigail Spanberger has been elected Governor in Virginia.
Mikie Sherrill has been elected Governor in New Jersey.
Pennsylvania voted to retain all 3 Democratic Supreme Court justices.
But there's more..
Virginia flipped the lutenant governor seat, meaning Gazella Hasme [D] is now going to be the first Muslim woman to ever hold the lutenant governor roll in the state. Jay Jones [D] also won the role as attorney general.
Georgia flipped 2 public service comission seats [district 2 and 3] that up until this point have been held by Republicans for the past 25 years.
Bucks county, Pennsylvania [swing county] have ousted every single Republican on the Central and Penridge school boards in favor of Democrats. Which is a huge victory since these boards where ground zero for the attacks on our lgbtq+ youth.
Other votes included mayoral races in Cincinnati, Atlanta, Detroit and Pittsburgh.
In Cincinnati and Atlanta incumbents Aftab Pureval [D] and Andre Dickens [D] won their races.
In Detroit Mary Sheffield [D] won, becoming the first woman to lead the city.
In Pittsburgh Corey O’Connor [D] won the race for mayor.
And while we won't know for certain for another week, Democrats in Mississippi appear to have broken the 13 year long Republican supermajority in the state Senate by winning two Republican districts.
