Bill Barr defends his management of the Mueller report in the Senate
US Justice Minister Bill Barr defended on Wednesday in the Senate his management of the final report of Robert Mueller, the prosecutor in charge of the investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, despite criticism by the latter and appeals to his resignation formulated by the opposition. The minister, whom the Democratic opposition accuses of complacency towards Donald Trump, said he was "absolutely" comfortable with his decision not to prosecute the president for obstructing justice in the context of this investigation. Bill Barr is auditioned by the Senate Judiciary Committee for the first time since the publication on April 18 of Robert Mueller's final report, which exonerated the president of suspicions of collusion with Moscow during the 2016 campaign.
