The 10 Demon Lords or just the other demon lord of the Octogram for some reason decide to make a bet or something to see who can become Rimuru's spouse/consort.
How did it start? Probably someone making a comment about how Rimuru looked like the perfect wife or how beautiful he was which got away as many things do when in the demon lords hands.
They all tried their best, from outright flirting or saying they want to marry Rimuru to giving subtle hints or courting offerings, but for some reason Rimuru seemed oblivious to it or didn't actually understand their intentions.
At first they assumed that it was because he must be pure so he didn't know anything about romance or even sex but it wasn't as they visited Tempest one time that they realized that Tempest had their own ways of courting.
Tempest courting ways were a mixture of many different ones as it takes in account the different races living there as well as things Rimuru knew from his times as Satoru.
First there was the part of giving a gift to the person they intended to court but it couldn't be just anything, it must be something important or essential to the one who is courting as a way to show they trust their intended with something so important(an example was Kurobe gifting Haruna his most precious and used weapon making object).
Second the person being courted after being given the gift must give their answer to the one courting them, it can be wrapped rice or a handkerchief(it depends of the person being courted knowing or not how to cook) with them having their own ways to signify their answers: if the wrapped rice has two red chopsticks it means they accept the courtship, it it has pine needles it means the person is unsure so the one courting may continue but they may still get rejected, if it has only one chopstick it means you have been rejected and in the case of handkerchiefs if it is a scented(perfumed) one it means your courting is accepted, if it has no scent it means they are unsure and if it is a damaged one then you have been rejected(some examples are Benimaru giving his now wives wrapped rice with pine needles and Souei giving Souka a damaged handkerchief)
And the third part came to be when someone is being courted by more then one person, the ones courting said person will either fight to decide who will be the first spouse or for the courted one to make a decision on the one they want to marry based on what they see in the fight but it can also be used the method of the ones courting the same person building a house/making something for the one they are courting and the one the courted likes more will be their spouse or first spouse...of course that there are some people that decide to sit and have tea as they discussion what to do and come to a decision like that(an example being Benimaru having courted Souei and be courted by Momiji and Albis which lead for the trio to fight to choose who would be Benimaru's first spouse with Souei winning while the other two talked and decided to share the position of second spouse together).
Of course that finding this, the demon lords thought that they know had their chance by using Tempest courting methods on Rimuru but before they could try to do that, Milim(or all of them depending the timeline used) received an invitation to Rimuru's wedding with someone(it can be anyone you prefer but I had in mind one of these people: Veldora, Masayuki, Haruna or Eren)
It is a stupid idea but it might be an amusing one especially if it is used as a 5+1(like the attempts of the Demon Lords at getting with Rimuru and then the +1 being them founding about Tempest courting method and Rimuru's future marriage).
Redrew the Lords of hell in their silly human forms for the stupid ass rehab AU. They have to go to court mandated therapy and find out ways to fulfill their needs without hurting people* /hj
Belial gossips, catfishes and generally is the gaslight in GGG(gaslight gatekeepe girlboss)
Azmodan is adjusting best cause he can just hang out and do fuck all with his wife, he has more time to grill.
Baal goes vacationing with his spouse Luthael on Sanctuary, like retired old people going on cruises and shit.
Mephisto is a bitter cunt who of everyone hates this situation the most. Especially since Lilith is technically ruling the burning hells while he can do nothing.
Diablo seems to be finding enrichment somewhere but he’s being shifty about it, refusing to directly answer any questions about what he’s been up to. Or keeping it very vague.
Duriel found out about BDSM and is having fun with his new “friend” who is helping him satisfy his sadomasochistic needs in a non lethal way.
Andariel has taken up writing angsty literature, with encouragement from Auriel she is selling many books.
*no killing/corrupting/ torturing
If you are confused, good.
This is my stupid nonsense AU where in the LOH have no power but still just exist as people now as punishment for their crimes. Lilith and Inarius get a divorce but they alive! Lilith is ruling hell and being chill, Inarius is not allowed to stay in Heaven, they’re still pissed at him but he can visit. Some peeps get revived via soul power bullshit. And the LOH stay with my OC Mirrah in Pandemonium where he is doing research and shit (turned it into his base of operations)
Everyone in my discord wanted Belial in the silly hat so he has the stupid pointy hat <3
Here He is!!!! The Embodiment of Lust!!! Asmodeus!!!❤️💚💜
One of the kings of The Ars Goetia royalty. Asmodeus also holds the position of being the embodiment of Lust in all its forms.
I don't think I've ever given a character a mobility aid before, so I figured it was time to change that.
Thoughts on D&D Demon Lords
Because I was talking about Juiblex semi-recently, I’ve been idly thinking about the demon lords as a whole, and my impressions and opinions on them.
One thing I am idly noticing is that my favourite demon lords are among the least powerful, at least in terms of CR and stat blocks. It sort of feels like the more of a direct in-game threat a demon lord is, the less interesting they are? Although, it’s more which of them are more interesting to me, so maybe there’s nothing concrete there. But. By far my favourite of the eight lords that made it to 5e are Juiblex, Fraz Urb’luu, and Zuggtmoy.
Orcus runs into a problem for me in that, he’s been so omni-present for so long, and so overused, that he’s become sort of boring? Yes yes, demon prince of undeath, we’ve all seen it. Like, he’s a good stat block to throw against high level parties, but story-wise he just doesn’t do a lot for me.
Baphomet and Yeenoghu, as well, the problem is that they’re mostly just beasts of slaughter, the Abyss’ bluntest of blunt instruments. They’re here for blood, and that’s about it. Of the two, I’ll give more points to Baphomet, just because I enjoy the motifs of labyrinths and mazes he gets as a minotaur, but honestly it’s much of a muchness between them.
Demogorgon, I will give points because of the madness. And, too, because he’s much more … elemental? He feels much more of an embodiment of the raw chaos of the Abyss. Maddened, warped, two-headed, at war with himself as much as the universe. The fact that his sign, the Y, causes madness in those who stare at it too long, in the grand tradition of Robert Chambers, Lovecraft, and the Yellow Sign, does please me. Demogorgon I will give points as a seeping, maddening corruption gnawing at the base of reality.
Graz’zt … I’d rank Graz’zt a little higher not because he does much for me personally, but just because his personal history in the lore has been a lot more involved and interesting. Although, you kind of have to feel a bit sorry for him, when it’s a 50/50 chance of someone, on realising who they’re facing, going ‘oh, it’s Graz’zt, third most powerful demon of the Abyss, enemy of Orcus and Demogorgon, contender for the demonic throne’ OR them going ‘oh, it’s Graz’zt, weren’t you Tasha’ ex?’.
Sidenote, you’ve got to hand it to Igglwiv, it says a lot about a girl when a demon prince can point to you as his toxic ex. The one who traumatised and seduced him (or seduced and traumatised him), to the point that he attacked another demon lord for DARING to have been captured and held by her first, an honour Graz’zt didn’t want to share. Like. Somewhere the Baba Yaga is proudly cackling ‘that’s my girl!’.
I’ll save talking about the demon lord he attacked for last, because he’s my favourite, and instead take a sidestep to my third and second favourites, Zuggtmoy and Juiblex. And. Okay. To be fair, the argument used for Baphomet and Yeenoghu could probably be levelled against this pair as well, in that they have very simple desires, that being to destroy all life in the universe and remake it in their own image, but they’re just … more interesting about it? It’s not just blood and slaughter. Juiblex is a slow, patient, inexorable force slowing eating away at the world while everyone ignores him as no threat (and also is an ooze, and I just love oozes), while Zuggtmoy is so alien, an inhuman infection that seeks to remake the world in an extremely biological fashion. Zuggtmoy works spectacularly as an almost science fiction sort of threat, an alien disease and infection, a remorseless force of entropy and transformation. They’re both just so much more interesting than Baphomet and Yeenoghu’s ‘bloodthirsty demon’ schtick, at least to me.
And then. My favourite demon lord. Fraz Urb’luu, the demon prince of deception. Because I just really love illusion. As a school of magic, as a concept. Truth and lies, reality and illusion. How do you know what’s real? What does ‘real’ even mean? Fraz Urb’luu as the nested prince of illusions, both trapped and trapping in the role, is fascinating to me. The fact that many of his worshippers don’t know they’re his worshippers, that they think they’re worshipping something else, something holy, is fantastic, and also the fact that he thinks he’s the smartest being in the cosmos. The one who sees past all the lies to the great truth underlying reality. And the question then of whether or not he is, or if he’s fallen for his own deceptions as well.
Fraz Urb’luu just really plays with a lot of the themes I enjoy and want to dig into. Plus, he’s got some of Juiblex’ stubbornness and sleeping threat vibes as well, since he’s held his domain against all comers, including Demogorgon, and a massed attack from multiple lords at once, even after being weakened by capture on the material plane (by, again, Igglwiv) and the loss of his greatest artefact.
And I promise that my high opinion of him is purely because of his themes, and not just because his 5e character art in Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes was extremely handsome, in a ‘mournful gargoyle’ sort of way. Honest. Graz’zt who? Heh.
But yes. I do enjoy the more chaotic and insidious and corruptive elements of the Abyss. Madness, infection, illusion. Juiblex, Fraz Urb’luu and Zuggtmoy, even Demogorgon, are significantly more interesting to me than the blunt instruments of Orcus, Baphomet and Yeenoghu. Graz’zt … Graz’zt kinda squeaks by because of his interesting personal relationships, not going to lie. On his own merits, he doesn’t do much for me. But the other four.
The Abyss is chaos. Evil chaos. It is madness and horror and transformation, a seething roil at the base of the universe that seeks to unmake everything. Violence and death, as embodied in Orcus, Baphomet and Yeenoghu, are the least interesting elements of it. To me. Again, just to clarify, this is personal opinion here. But the other demon lords are where the fun starts.
They just ... they've better stories attached. A demonic sign that seeds madness. A fungal corruption that slowly overtakes a region. A prince of illusion who disguises himself as saint and sinner alike to manipulate conflicts to his desire. A gnawing hunger at the base of the world that seeks to eat everything.
... I do have themes that I enjoy, huh? Heh.
