Devilla is the descendant of a fallen angel, the villainess of a porn game, and the reincarnation of one Jacob Divington - though it's more accurate to say Jacob Divington was Devilla Satanne's past life. (Despite regaining past life memories, she still identifies as herself. She just now knows who she used to be.)

The fact that she identifies fully as a woman, and a lesbian, might say something about how her last life would have gone had Jacob lived past 19. (Though Devilla herself simply assumes that her gender identity shifted due to being reborn.)
