What happened to the souls of the culprists who held captive our ciel and real ciel ? If Sebastian killed them, does it means they weren't supposed to die that day so there was no grim reaper to harvest their soul ?

First off, I think you mean “cultists”, but may I just say I like this accidental portmanteau of “cultists” and “culprits”. 👍

There should have been reapers there, and they would have already had some mention of demonic forces in the death files for these individuals. Cause of death would have been things like “organ failure due to dismemberment and blood loss”. Some might have been “severe blunt force trauma and internal bleeding”. But the reapers would also note the involvement of a demon.

And we have a possible hint about at least one reaper already on the scene. Ch137 has this mystery person.

It’s entirely possible this is a reaper sent to investigate the impending massacre. Just like William was sent to investigate the deaths of the circus troupe, how Ronald and Grelle were sent ahead to deal with the Campania… and how Ronald is currently investigating at Athena Sanatorium… telling us the reaper organization expects numerous deaths there, too.

So, their souls should have been harvested. Unless the demon was devouring some of the souls as he went.

When William and Ronald collect souls at Kelvin’s manor, William reminds Ronald to make sure to collect every single one. Presumably because: 1. They know Sebastian is around (for a little while, at least), and 2. There could be random demons just lurking, waiting for a feast like this.

I imagine any reapers who showed up to collect the cultists’ souls would have tried to make sure every soul is accounted for. Extra paperwork and overtime are a pain, as always.

If you had to say, which of the Black Butler arcs has the most connection to Our!Ciel's goal? (his revenge)

Out of the *completed arcs*, I would say the circus one, since Baron Kelvin would have attended the original sacrificial ritual, if he could have made it there. The circus doc stabbing the girl on the altar gave our earl flashbacks to “that day”. Particularly since the room was made to look identical to the one used for those sacrifices.

However, I think our current Blue Sect arc will end with things sort of all tied back to the attack on the manor, etc.
