Hellbent to protect. Hellbent to slaughter.
Don't worry, I won't kill another father, Usagi is just finding out what the "boogeyman" is.
Although, he won't know that until little orange grows up.
TMayNT Day 21: Favorite Shedder
Day 21 of @tmaynt Prompt: Favorite Shedder! I feel like I've said this before, and I'll keep saying it! For a chick who was obsessed with dragons and still is, 2003 giving both the Shedder AND The Turtles Dragon forms was like something I would've done to be all like, "Oooo! I wonder what the turtles would look like as dragons! I should draw that!" BUT THE SHOW DID IT FIRST, AND I'M LIVING FOR IT! AHHHHH!
forever thinking about how creepy demon shredder was to karai in the 2003 show
like he straight up implied he was considering using her as a s/ex slave.
can you imagine how she might’ve felt in that moment
this guy who looks so similar to the person who raised you threatening something like that
gross
surprised the show got away with that throwaway line
Round 1C: Demon Shredder (2003) VS Raphael (Image Comics)
Demon Shredder
Raphael
Aight. I’m bored, and have no new art to post, and I don’t feel like writing about my lore, sooo…
Ladies and Gentlemen, Goblin Inquisition presents a brand new feature (published on a strict “Whenever I’m bored and have nothing better to do” schedule] called ✨Goblin Just Ranting About Characters And Stories He Likes✨
(better name pending)
Today’s target? My personal Favorite Villain Ever: The One True Shredder, also called The Demon Shredder [Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles].
What makes this one so great? does he get a lot of screen time? No. Does he have good goals? Absolutely Not. Is his story arc in the show unique? Kinda.
Then what makes him good?
Short answer? Everything. Let’s start at the basics: Demon Shredder is basically a combination of the normal Shredder from that incarnation of the Turtles (2002, the best one.) combined with Dracula from castlevania, and Dio from JoJo’s bizarre adventure. His goal is simple: “Remake the world how I see fit”. He views everything with a sadistic sort of glee. Everything it a toy to play with and break. From reality to basic human emotions. Add in the excellent buildup to his big reveal, AND the absolutely chilling voice acting, and it all adds up to one Villain absolutely dripping with power and Evil. I HIGHLY recommend you seek out the entirety of the Ninja Tribunal arc for yourself, and seeing one of the best incarnations of The Shredder ever.
And if you disagree, well, at least he’s more competent and has a better voice than 80’s Shredder.
Okay, but, consider: Shredder is actually a thousand meter tall giant demon and destroys part of the hidden city? Maybe not, but it would really up the stakes HUH
I just can’t wait for him to show up so I drew a concept piece of how I want the Shredder fight to be like 8D
I really really can’t wait for episodes to start airing again...
What did you think of Rise! Shredder ?
Ooh honestly, I really like him! Not sure if you're referring to the rabid-animal one from End Game or to the proper demon from the finale, so I'll go into both.
