"Viktor?"
You peered out, looking around as you heard the floor creak. The usual sound of his crutch is gone. You gasped, your back bumping into something solid. Eyes trialling up to see the face of the very man you were looking for - well demon. It was currently, night time which meant he was ready to feed.
"I'm.... hungry..." He croaked out, hands falling on your hips.
A cold sweat stuck to your skin. A nervous laugh escaped out as you squeezed his fingers.
"I thought you left to feed? Was there no bodies?"
He clicked, confusing you further. If he already ate then how could he be hungry? His body lowered, pressing his forehead against yours as he hummed. You shouldn't be surprised by how big his hands were but they still intimidated you; one sliding up to your neck. Pressing a claw against your skin. Your heart thumped against your chest as his other hand squeezed at your thigh.
Oh.
That kind of hungry.

prologue / chapter 1
Warnings: mentions of injury, tubes in skin and medical setting
Pairing: Viktor x Reader (Arcane)
Summary: waking up in a strange home with an even stranger scientist. Now, you were stuck with him as a study case due to your injury.
You gasped. Shooting up as you desperately grabbed at your limbs. Patting yourself down expecting to find any sign of damage. With relief, you slouched. Softly panting from your moment of panic.
"Oh...Hello." a voice called out, unfamiliar with an accent foreign to you. You snapped your head to the sound and saw a man standing there.
A scream ripped out of your throat as you scampered away. He had goggles and a mask covering his face, a tube pushed and pulled against itself as if pumping something into it. A leather apron covered what clothes he had on; stains covered it from what you could assume to be oil to very obvious signs of blood splatters. He raised his hands in defence but It only made you cower. Hands hidden under black gloves.
You bit back a hiss as your leg kicked out, trying to get as far away as you could from the stranger. Yelping, as you almost fumbled off the table you were on. Looking down, you saw your leg was wrapped in tight bandage's. There was a purple hue coming from it, you leaned towards it. Hoping to see what was happening but a hand shot out. Grabbing your wrist.
"What happened to my leg?"
The man propped himself back up, leaning against his crutch as he let go of your hand.
"You were attacked, from my speculation."
Attacked? Your brows scrunched as you looked down at your leg. Realization hits you as you let out a small gasp. THE DEMON! it scratched your leg! The pieces all came back to you; remembering how you escaped and found yourself in someone's home. Wait- this doesn't look at all like the room you crawled into.
My Acolyte
Prologue / chapter 1
Warnings: mentions of blood, minor gore and minor body horror
Pairing: Viktor x Reader (Arcane)
Summary: You were arriving home late from work, just edging on the early morning. Hoping you could cut your journey short, you went to an alleyway but only discovered a scene that changed your night for the worse. The rumoured demon lurking in Zaun's streets was right there and you just interrupted it's long awaited meal.
You rubbed your eyes, trying to get rid of any sleep that clung to them. You didn't expect work would last this long. An emergency shift that lasted hours beyond your usual schedule. But that was the life of assisting others. You couldn't say no to them, they desperately needed as much protection as they could get. You offered herbs and scents to scare off any unwanted guests.
Rumours were going around. A demon was released upon your city. You didn't believe it. Who would be foolish enough to do that? Magic and gods were no surprise to anyone but its credibility was strained. No one has seen it be used for more than small things like charms. The more educated in its craft wouldn't be found in your street's.
But demon summoning? That was on a level of its own.
You shook your head. Finding it meaningless to focus on such things. You just needed to get back home, sleep the few hours you could before your next shift.
A chill nipped at your skin. You let out a yawn, it caused your whole body to shake. You reminded yourself to find someone to cover your long shifts; you weren't sure if you could deal with another late night. You had enough trouble with your sleep as it is.
Something tugged at the back of your head. A growing fear nagging at you.
What if the rumours were true?
Zaun was dangerous enough already. You were thankful it was so lifeless during this time. Not wanting to deal with any gangs or crazed maniacs looking for a new high. You had enough erratic people during work - you didn't need to meet anymore.
An alley caught the corner of your eye. You turned just a little to get a closer look. It was far too dark to see down it. You looked around, gathering what you could to where you were exactly. It was a shortcut. There were many ways to weave through these streets and alleys were one of them. There were hundreds of them. You mewled over your options; shivering as the temperature only got lower.
You did need to get home fast.
Taking the risk; you ventured down the alleyway. Clutching your coat close to you as you decided on a quick walk. No point moving at a snail's pace.
You halted in your quick steps. Stalking closer as something moved in the distance.
