It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.

However little known the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighbourhood, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families, that he is considered as the rightful property of some one or other of their daughters.

It would be a lie to say Mei-Rin was not curious about the new neighbours but her mother’s constant babbling about them was slowly beginning to irritate her. On the other hand, though, the ball in the estate not far away from there, in which both families were supposed to participate, excited her pretty much. This way she would be able to get to know them...

And it would take place that very evening...

The man put his thumb behind the belt of his trousers, moving his coat sightly to the side, showing that he was not unarmed. The gun might not be big, but it was obvious it would work just fine if he heard any words of refusal, and if the aim was good, the young man right before him might not see another day.

“I am counting to three and if you’re not gone, I’ll make sure you won’t ever forget this encounter,” he said with a malicious sparkle in his eyes, patting the pistol gently, almost lovingly. “Now... do you really need this pretty face of yours to be destroyed?”

Ash was trashing in his sleep, she was enveloped by a black cloud , calling him a monster, saying she’d never forgive him. “I’m sorry. … that wasn’t me. I feel awful please forgive me. ! I never meant to hurt you. ” Her hands wrapped around his throat. Her eyes red …a demonic red. “Die!!!!!!!” He heard her yell before waking up screaming and in a cold sweat.
