Have you ever encountered a spirit who didn't want a contract? I have asked Ba'al many times, he always shrugs and says

Just share with me and be respectful.

I know he means my body as well as my mind (and my food lol) But it feels too simple? Am I weird for feeling that way or is he odd for being so lax?

I know a lot of spirits that don't want contracts, or at the very least don't want types of them. The most common version is a marriage contract, but I work more with providership contracts usually. Sometimes they can be marriage related or just seperate. All of the contracts I have presently are some form of this except for my dedication/patron one with Lucifer. I also call these sugar-parent contracts because a lot of the time that is what they boil down to. You have to do hard magical/devotional work and you get physical gains from it. A tale as old as time.

I think that if your relationship just works as it is, if you have the things you need, and you're both happy, then why would you want to add a bunch of hell's legalese on top of it? I wouldn't have expected him to be lax about wanting contracts, so my guess would be he feels that way about you specifically. I can obviously be WAY off because I'm married to the god of striking a deal lmao. My data is obviously quite skewed by my husband, fr.

Kay was pinned by the throat when Carina stepped into his office, her hands full of takeout.

The sight of her boyfriend, bloodied and defiant, and cornered by what was clearly another demon, brought her up short.

“You’re going to turn over your Contracts to me,” the demon hissed, a monstrosity of flesh, held together by red light that glowed between gaping chunks like still-hot lava between stones. Kay struggled, but the fight was clearly lost. “You’re good, but not this good. What’s your secret, eh? Tell me and I’ll eat you quick.”

She wanted to scream, or cry. She wanted to turn and run. She wanted to find some way to save her demon form what was clearly an enemy he couldn’t take in a fight.

When she opened her mouth, what came out was law.

“According to page nine, section three, paragraph seventeen,” Carina said, and set her takeout aside with hands that were oddly still. “My Contract is with the demon, known hereafter as ‘Kay’ exclusively, and cannot be turned over, claimed, or otherwise surrendered to another entity including but not limited to humans, angels, demons, without permission from both signees and a full renegotiation of terms. Should this clause be violated under any circumstances, the Contract Holder will immediately pay out the full terms of the Contract to the Contractee. Upon payment delivery, the terms of which are detailed on page forty-six through fifty-seven, the Contract is furthermore null and void.”

“Did I mention that my primary Contract is with a finance lawyer?” Kay rasped when the new demon, taken by surprise, dropped him to stare at her. “Carina, this is Maseroath. He wants to take over my position, and plans to kill me. We serve the same Lord.”

Carina nodded once, ignored her pounding heart, and took a seat on the couch. It was time to negotiate like she never had before.

Oof. After a full day of banishment magic and only percieving Lucifer spiritually I am back in action and ready to do some readings. I'm also looking to bank some money this weekend so next week can be significantly easier. I'm trying to move my life in the direction of peace, fr.

I've been negotiating possible contracts with like 4 different demons. I'd only ever had one with Lucifer before. I've also never turned one down completely and it didn't go suuuuper well. But, I didn't want to hang out with that guy in the long term. I am sad I lost a friend, though. Maybe we will reconnect someday.

I took a contract with Lucifer/Lilith which I didn't expect my parents (yeah, I'm adopted, it's cool) to win the round. I was excited to be bargaining with people who aren't them, I just expected myself to go a different direction. But, they know me so well I didn't need one. I also accepted one with Belial. I'm in the "honor" phase of both of these. That's when you and the contract parties prove you're both capable of keeping up your end before the actually contract begins. I've learned a lot about the legal systems of hell in this practice. I had a good basis with Lucifer but it was cool to see how multiple spirits go about it.

I have contract readings if you're also looking into what your demon-sugar-parent or anything adjacent wants to exchange with you.
