You ever just buy candy melts and fruits in the morning to dip during the afternoon. A large bowl with microwaved water and two smaller bowls of candy melts and a plate of strawberries and sliced oranges ready for dipping and you lay out all your tools out all neatly and organized on the table. You even remembered to put out paper towels just in case you spill water everywhere and you’re so proud. You spend the next three hours melting candy and chocolate and dipping bits of oranges and strawberries and decorating them with sprinkles and candy melt stripes and placing them on parchment paper on paper plates, occasionally reheating the water when it gets cold. You make a bit of a mess dripping water, chocolate, and orange juice but that’s okay. You got paper towels to clean it up. Now with two whole plates full of dipped strawberries, oranges, and jackfruit you also found lying around, you put them in the fridge to harden and clean up all the bowls caked in chocolate, the big bowl of water, orange peels, a knife, three spoons for mixing, a tub of shortening, the sopping wet paper towels and newspapers, and bags of extra chocolate chips and candy melts all tied off. You spend a while scrubbing the bowls and utensils, check on the fruit in the fridge to see if they are hardening, wash your hands again because they didn’t harden yet, and leave the kitchen very proud.
