Do you have any tips for setting up an area to let your beardie roam when you also have pets like cats and dogs in the house? I love letting my beardie roam but never feel comfortable with cats lurking around.
I personally live with 5 cats and 2 dogs. When my dragon gets time out of the tank, I put all of the other animals away in other rooms, usually with a treat or something to keep them from getting upset about being shut in another room when they’re used to having free rein of the house. Ridley goes back in the tank with the lid shut before anyone is let back out.
If your cats are the type to meow and scratch at the door, you can try giving them some catnip or tasty food to keep them occupied and content.
Also, any time your beardie is out and about, make sure you baby-proof the room! Take up anything he might try and eat, block off small spaces such as under the bed, etc.

Oh god. the adventures of mouth surgery. My mouth smelled absolutely HORRID after my jaw surgery. It’s gross for a while but it goes away. And no worries you should get the feeling back in your face eventually
