Japanese Green Tea - My muse needs calming down and it seems like green tea’ll do the trick.
It had been a couple of hours since Hijikata had took Chizuru into the Shinsengumi headquarters. It was quite the scare, Hijikata had pointed his blade at an innocent girl, unbeknownst to himself. Hijikata was just as confused as her, at what was she doing here? Hijikata had left and came back from headquarters due to the mysterious case he was dealing with. 'A girl from a land far from here.. What was this? Star Trek?! Time Travel?!'screaming as he gripped on his head. Screaming an internal monologue to himself, Hijikata had noticed he had attracted unwanted attention. “Oh crap..” Bolting down the street, Hijikata had made his way back to the office.
Entering his office, Hijikata could see the female sleep peacefully in the futon of the the room. Scratching the back of his head, Hijikata sighed and then walked to his desk where all the unfinished paperwork he left. About when Hijikata was about to take a seat, he could hear some whimpering coming from his futon. Peering over his desk, Hijikata saw the female squirm in her sleep, mumbling to herself. The mumbling that was emitting from the female was incoherent to Hijikata, to the point where he was partially getting annoyed. Hijikata had then took his leave and left her in his room.
Minutes passed and Hijikata had came back with a tray with a cup of green tea. Placing the tray next to him, Hijikata had proceeded to wake her up. “Oi, get up.” Looking at the female open her eyes a bit, Hijikata had proceeded to talk, even if she wasn’t really awake. “Drink this and then go back to sleep.” Leaving the tray next to her, Hijikata had went back to his desk and continued with the unfinished paperwork remaining.
Sleep had not been very kind to the oni lately, especially after she'd entered this strange place, and this nap really was no different. Suffering once again from terribly vivid nightmares, Chizuru damn near had a heart attack as she was woken up. Amber eyes slowly, almost hesitantly, blinked open to focus in on the dark haired man crouching before her. For a split second, she had thought that she was back home and having her rest interrupted by the demon vice-chief she had come to know so well, but her heart soon sank when the man came into proper focus and it wasn't the one she'd known.
So I'm still here, huh...? It was better than the fires and the death in her nightmare, but it still wasn't home--it wasn't her home, the one place she really wanted to be right now. I'll have to make the best of this all from now on I guess... How hard could it be? She'd manage to do it once before, so surely it would be easier to do the second time around, right?
Picking up the hot cup of tea, Chizuru simply let the warmth of it radiate through her hands as she bowed her head politely. "Thank you, sir... I-I'm sorry if I've disrupted you..."
