This was what did it for me too. I had never seen anyone risk alienating a segment of their fandom just to refute what was supposedly a lie.
Right? Gay rumours are a staple of literally every fandom, but I can't think of a single other band who have gone out of their way to address them, let alone continually quash them. Talk about abnormal and suspicious behaviour!
I often wonder if Modest/HJPR realise just how bad a move that was and how many people they inadvertently converted.
