Dawn, maybe? She trusts Dawn to do well as champion. To hold the title longer as a superior trainer, to manage all the politics and diplomacy that she knows her successor has the dedication to manage, the protect the region as she has been doing for years already.

😜 …someone who makes my muse laugh

Let’s be real: Clair doesn’t laugh.  This is tough, as I am someone who loves to laugh and laughs a lot, and seeing my girl as uptight and laughless as she is really brings a tear to my eye.  I think it would take a lot for someone to make her laugh, as Clair really prefers to be alone (even though she craves love and attention).  Someone as ridiculous as Dennis would definitely be someone to make Clair laugh, though!

Clair is so used to being in control of a situation that sudden sillyness from someone else, especially if they do it to try to impress her or it just happens, would make her grin.  And even if she doesn’t laugh, Clair’s lovely but lopsided grin means a lot.  If you even amuse her in the slightest, you’re well on your way to becoming one of her favorites (not like she would admit that!).
