I just realised something that’s going to annoy the hell out of me on every single future rewatch of Lord of the rings. Faramir and Boromir, brothers raised by the same people, in the same place with the same social standing and position have different fucking accents.

Boromir has an obvious Yorkshire accent meanwhile faramir has a southern ‘proper’ accent. This will never stop bothering me now. EVERYONE else in minas tirith sounds southern except godamn Boromir.

For any American this is the equivalent of a family having posh ass voices but one random member who is has an obvious Texan accent and it’s never explained
