  If you could speak any other language (in addition to the one/ones you already speak) what would it be?

Oh, that's tough! There's a lot of languages I wish I could speak. It'd be a toss up between Quiche and Arabic, though. 

What is your favorite movie?

Wow, you just went for the hard ones, didn't you? Shoot, um, probably The Prince of Egypt or 12!

Do you play an instrument (if so, what)?

I don't currently play an instrument, but I used to be able to play the viola and I've learned the basics of the violin and cello! I can also pluck notes on the piano. (Yes, just about all of the main string instruments. You'd think I'd branch out more.)

If you could live anywhere you wanted to in the world, where would you live?

While someplace amazing like New Zealand would be good, I'm a city kid at heart, so probably Hong Kong or another densely populated place.

Do you have any pet peeves; what are they?

Not understanding the difference between responsibility and blame. I try not to get actually annoyed at anyone for anything, though.

Morning or night person?

Mostly night but I'll also take the really early morning, when it's really dark but if you hold out for a bit you can see the darkness get less deep. 

Favorite female singer?

Um, I'm just going to put Wakana from Fictionjunction and Kalafina. I love her voice!

Tea or coffee?

Tea! Especially herbal tea.

Would you ever buy anything from an infomercial?

 I'm going to go with no.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

It went from opera singer to writer to lawyer to marine biologist to mathematician.  

Favorite word?

Loquacious. Both because it describes me and it is fun to say.

4) Is there a month or season that holds special significance to you?

Um. August starts the school year. Summer was the season I spent in Italy (well, 6 weeks of it). December was when I traveled to Niagara Falls, after over a decade of waiting. February is when my birthday is. Black Friday last year is when I got my tattoo.

So I guess there are a few ‘special significance’ times of the year for me.

3) What's one thing you're consistently good at and really proud of? Even something that seems trivial, but just comes to you with ease.

Um. I’m pretty good about telling other people about fanfics I’ve read. It might take me half a day but I can recount to you pretty much every occurrence in Being Dead Ain’t Easy, in relative order, a 68,106 word YuGiOh fanfic I read about 10 years ago. (Holy Shit time flies)

Same with any movie I’ve seen.

I’m also very proud of my large working vocabulary (though some of my students hate my ‘big words’) and my knowledge of ‘fun facts’ about pretty much anything I’ve ever read or watched or looked up for any reason.

2) Have you seen Pacific Rim? I'm mid-craze-phase: Who would your jaeger co-pilot be?

Yes I have! My only issue with it was the lack of female characters.

Are we talking a real life person or a fictional one?

In real life, my jaeger co-pilot would easily be my twin sister (DLanaDHZ).

In fiction, I’d like to see if I could even manage a drift with Stiles Stilinski. Or Joey Wheeler. One is a sassy little shit and one is a little slow on the uptake but very street smart, both are loyal to the end if you win their friendship (or quasi-friendship, sometimes).

I saw that tumblr lied to you so now I'm writing you four questions. 1) What's been the most encouraging thing to happen to you this week?

hahaha I honestly snipped a picture before I checked my messages just in case tumblr had done it again. XD

Now, let’s see. Most encouraging? Um. My students actually seem to be getting into doing NaNoWriMo. I gave them an assignment to make mini-stories as a group thing and they started asking when they were going to be able to actually start their own novels.

Since several people want to see my reel but I don't want to actually post the video on here, just follow this link: [X] There are older things and newer things but all of the scenes were designed, filmed or story boarded by myself. I just tried to make it diverse. Here is a breakdown of it:

artistic abstract film(that I filmed, newer)

a snippet of a scene(which I storyboarded, kind of older)

several interviews(first one newer, other one is older but I designed and filmed both of them)

b-roll shots with voice over(which I filmed, newer) 

another short snippet of a scene that I storyboarded (older)

a scene that was shot from life aka we went to their apartment and filmed them while they behaved normally(like they didn't act or anything and we didn't storyboard it)(older).

Its not super impressive but so far that's the best stuff I've gotten on professional equipment that my profs would actually want to see(not counting my stuff I've done for the TV news show that I dont have access to anymore).
