It’s Princes and Peasants: Smallpox in History by Donald R. Hopkins. 

Hopkins was one of the people behind the eradication efforts for smallpox in the ‘70s, and he wrote this book shortly after. It doesn’t go into detail about the eradication effort itself- it’s mostly focused on inoculation and vaccination pre-1900- but it’s still a really interesting, if kind of dated, read.

I realize this is a dopey question, but I can't find the answer and I thought you might know. I live in Quebec as a student, but I'm not a Quebec resident, so I don't have an official Provincial Representative in Quebec. Who do I phone about Bill 62? The person who would theoretically be my representative if I voted in Quebec elections? The Premier? This is a strangely hard question to answer and I'm stuck? Thanks very much for all your hard work.

Congratulations on the book, it looks amazing and I'm excited for it. But I must know. Do you have something specific you must do with that large box of books, or is a large box of appealing looking books just a perk of getting published I haven't heard about?

They’re author copies! You get a bunch of them to do whatever you want with, keep them or give them away as you like. It’s definitely a perk :)

Listen, most people just tag my personal posts as “fic inspiration” and cut and run. If you wanna do the thing, do the thing. I have enough weird shit to write about without attempting to fictionalize my own life.
