She'd only been a goddess a short time, but her mortal life was RIFE with study, so while she suspected her cousins & brother needed adjusting when they ascended, Daphne was HARDLY the same.

❝ it’s iconic. ❞  she deadpans, staring at rosalie with a look that can only be described as adoring. it takes her about 40 minutes in forks to determine that rosalie is vampire goals. and since then, she’s pretty much been in awe of her. strength. grace. brains. badass. and then, of course, this:  ❝ the wedding dress thing? like literally iconic. ❞  it makes her little hallway spat with damon look like literal child’s play. maybe she should have been a bit more...dramatic.           /          @denieddeath​   +   she’s like a little baby duckling.

             it isn’t unusual to be called away during an assignment. he goes to the highest bidder and so when there’s an opening well, he gets double booked. he didn’t think anything of it. he should have, though. he should have thought all of this through but he hasn’t had a coherent thought since it started. he has always known he is expendable, that he has an expiration date. he just didn’t think it would be like this. he didn’t think it would come in the form of a game for some meth eager to know what it’s like to kill. he wasn’t supposed to make it easy, they wanted a thrill of a fight and he wanted to live. but, he is supposed to be dead. not the other way around. he isn’t supposed to be standing here covered in blood, shivering in front of his client’s doorstep because he had nowhere else to go. 

eyes widen when the door opens. he expected a maid. he had hoped for a maid who would usher him in and not asks questions. but of course it’s her. that’s how his luck is going today. emil blinks at the woman and of all the things he should be saying. the alibis. the excuses  (  anything but the truth ). all that comes out when his opens his mouth is  “  i didn’t wanna die.  ”

His librarian friend and apprentice had managed to figure out his birthday and had been taking great efforts to make this knowledge more widely known to his chagrin.  “ Surely you of all people can understand not making a fuss over birthdays... ”

⇾  ACE, omg. i just 🥺 i remember when we first became mutuals, you IM’d me and said that i made you cry. i was so nervous at first because i thought i did something bad, but then i found out they were good tears so PHEW 😅 i know we haven’t really written anything together and that is more than okay with me because we still vibe so hard. i really am so happy we’re both finally following each other because i love seeing you on my dash. your edits are breathtaking. your energy is wonderful and i think you are a beautiful person who deserves all the happiness in the world! and i mean it when i say that i’m gonna make you a shirt with your di/sco name on it :’)

⇾  @markedwrath / @denieddeath : K A T E. there’s no doubt that i have to throw positivity at you because you’re always throwing positivity at other people. wow, you are just without a doubt one of the nicest people i’ve ever met on this dumblr site. i like seeing your little ooc posts that tell people to have a good day and all that other wonderful stuff because i can tell that you are genuinely a lovely person. genuine people are hard to come by nowadays so knowing that you exist and are also a friend is something that makes me feel a little better about the world. besides all of that, your writing is magnificent and inspires me to want to challenge my own writing and characterization. SO THANK YOU. you’ve done more for me than you will ever know. <3 

⇾  @kaijvking : okay rin, lemme just confess that i have been stalking looking lovingly and respectfully at your blog from afar for awhile. ( mostly because of your interactions with kate ) and i never followed because i honestly was just too scared? lol. that fear is not justified whatsoever. it's truly just me being an idiot 😅 but i’m happy that i finally hit that damn follow button because us being mutuals brings me so much joy! we’ve barely started writing together, but i already know that i love you and am grateful that your characters want to interact with max. from what i’ve seen so far, you are a brilliant writer and all of the IMs you’ve sent me make me crack the fuck up 😂 so seriously, thank you so much! i’m so happy that we know each other!

i’m thinking about the old guard now so let’s go with @valiantsword / @riverguides / i know there are others but i can’t remember the urls now & i’ve only written with arthur so i’ll focus on him. anyway: god, what ?? a gorgeous, gorgeous portrayal. the ritchie film was a ton of fun, and i enjoyed pretty much every second of it, but i especially enjoyed arthur’s characterization. i’ve loved seeing how luca’s adapted him to tog: arthur’s biting humor paired with that exhaustion, his sense of duty paired with the knowledge that he outlasts everyone & everything. there are so many layers to this character that it’s almost overwhelming, and he’s just so wonderfully layered: power and tenderness, ferocity and gentleness. and luca is such a joy. she’s so incredibly thoughtful; every answer is carefully considered and so informative. she knows arthur so well & loves arthur so much, and she is so genuinely invested in the other character involved that it makes me smile every time !! and it makes me feel very seen; the rpc can start to feel monotonous and anonymous sometimes, and having writing partners who care about what you’re doing can absolutely make your day. and all of luca’s ideas are fucking brilliant, so even though i might have no idea what’s happening in canon, i will happily follow her anywhere her creativity takes her.

and since !! i keep finding that new friends know old friends and it makes me smile !! that brings me to @denieddeath / @markedwrath. i don’t think there’s enough that i can say about kate to fully express how beautiful she is in every way? her characters are phenomenal. rosalie is, in her canon, very important to me; kate has been so unbelievably wonderful in writing her, and approaching her experiences with violence with a care and compassion that makes me feel so at ease. i don’t know far cry, but i’ve loved laurel since i first saw her: she’s got that signature kate combination of wicked humor and absolute grace, and every single word i read makes me love her more. and all of that comes down to kate herself — an angel !! my star !! a dear friend and absolutely beautiful person, someone i’ve known & loved for years now, one of the brightest spots in my life. every new character she takes on leaves an imprint ( i still think about cashmere all the time, just sayin ). i’ve known her for years and i’ve been so thrilled to know her; she pushes astoria in the most wonderful ways, and she is just such a wonderful friend. any time i’ve needed a little extra love or kindness, kate is there in a heartbeat. even my cats adore kate — that pink blanket? i’m never getting it back. the cats won’t use certain beds or pieces of furniture without it :’) i love her very much !! i’m so proud to know her and so grateful for her !!
