Just a screenshot of Denioniel’s second look along with her backstory.
For as long as she could remember, Denioniel was praised by her elders for being magically gifted. Eventually all the praise came to a head when she was finally urged to go to the College. After easily passing the entrance test, Denioniel soon came to a wall in her studies.
Destruction, Alteration, Illusion… Denioniel was bombing when it came to these schools, and she was barely passing when it came to Conjuration. It was only in Restoration that Denioniel excelled, and although this may have pleased Master Colette Marence, it didn’t exactly make her popular with her peers.
For years she was ridiculed by teacher and student alike, in fact if it weren’t for Master Marence and the Archmage giving her almost constant encouragement, the Bosmer was sure that she’d have already left the College . After being at the college for four years and a half in total, Denioniel finally made up her mind; if she couldn’t properly cast an Expert level spell or above in any of the other schools besides Restoration, then she would drop out and go back home to Morthal.
As one could imagine, this didn’t exactly go well…
To keep it simple, she went down the line. First she tried to use Incinerate, but it backfired and she ended up burning both of her hands in the process. After healing them (Restoration YAY ^_^), Denioniel tried to cast Wall of Storms, but couldn’t get anything but simple sparks to come out.
She then tried the Alteration tree. At this point, there was a really beautiful and intelligent mage that went around in the nude that was studying here. After practically begging her, Denioniel tried casting the Paralyze spell on her… but instead of paralyzing her, she simply made the girl have to vomit (which Denioniel was made to clean up promptly). Since there wasn’t any dead here, she thought about trying to cast Ebonyflesh, but the memories of when she tried to cast Oakflesh still haunted her, and so she decided against it…
Denioniel then went onto the Illusion School and tried to cast Invisibility. At first she thought she’d succeeded because her peers seemed to be unable to see her, but when she went to Master Marence her dreams were dashed as she was promptly greeted by her teacher… Not wanting people to play tricks on her again she went to the school she had left… Conjuration…
Denioniel knew what she was going to have to do in order to prove to herself and everyone else that she pulled something big off… She’d have to summon a Dremora Lord, but it couldn’t be just an ordinary Dremora Lord. Denioniel spent weeks in the Arcanaeum researching about all manner of higher level Dremora until she’d finally found it. She decided to do it at night, when her power was said to be at its greatest. She got everything she needed ready as well: a Daedra Heart, some Nightshade, Human Flesh,, three Small Pearls, five Black Soul Gems and some Void Salts (all of which was provided by Master Marence).
After setting everything like it was explained in the book, Denioniel cast the spell. Unlike normal Conjuration spells, this one was more akin to a concentration spell your typical summoning spell. The Bosmer kept casting and casting keeping her magicka up with the potions she had brought along for the task just in case. However, there didn’t seem to be any effect. As her determination waned, Denioniel didn’t let up until she had run out of magicka potions, and even then she didn’t stop casting when she ran low on magicka. Instead, she cast Equilibrium with her free hand and it was only when she could feel herself on the verge of death that Denioniel finally ceased.
Once the realization of what had happened caught up to her, Denioniel bawled and cursed herself… that is until she heard footsteps from behind her. Believing it to be Master Marence, the Bosmer straightened herself out as much as she could, but when she heard the words of her observer she realized there was no need.
