The feeling of silk between fingertips and the sound of a playful sigh from lips parted in a half-smile. Leaning your body out of a window to wave at someone you recognize on the sidewalk below, running down hardwood stairs for a quick hello, realizing hours have flown by as you talk on the concrete steps of a front-porch. Bright yellow sunflowers against dark hair, the crisp pop as you open a carton of dark red strawberries, and the deep blue fabric of a dress saved for a special occasion. The soft beat of raindrops against windowpanes, the soft beat of a lover’s knuckles on your front door. An assortment of multi-colored blankets collected throughout the years, calling in sick to spend the day underneath them, two shoulders pressed together as a classic movie flickers across a tv screen.
