Hayalet ağların deniz canlılarına ve kuşlara zarar vermemesi için, Su Ürünleri, Yerel Yönetimler, balıkçı kooperatifleri, sivil toplum örgütleri ve dalış merkezlerinin işbirliğiyle projeler ve çalışmalar yapılmalıdır. Hayalet ağların oluşmasına yol açan ve ekonomisi balıkçılık sektörüne bağlı olan kuruluşlar ve kişiler bu konuda bilinçlendirilmeli, eğitilmeli, ilgili kurumlarda gerekli denetim ve uygulamaları yapmalı.
