The sacred texts of Z. include the Avesta, the primary collected text, written in an ancient religious language named for the text. The Gathic hymns are the 17 believed to be composed by Zarathustra (Zoroaster) himself, therefore the most revered of the texts. And the Ahuna Vairya the most sacred of those. The Denkard, although not considered scripture, is a semi-religious work that has come to form a significant portion of the Avesta.
