            lenny sat with her legs crossed and sighed as she looked at the area around her. she was seated in the back of a coffee shop and an empty cup of hot chocolate sitting beside her. the person sitting behind her was talking too fast for lenny to keep up, but she figured it’d also be easier if she had been listening from the start. “it’s kind of stuffy in here. do you want to maybe go outside?” she said after a moment when she felt like there was a long enough pause for her to speak. “i can feel my skin crying for some vitamin d.”

Quinn walked out of the local cafe, a hot cup coffee in her hand. She took the top off to try and let the drink cool off faster, paying no attention to her surroundings. She tripped on a broken piece of concrete in the sidewalk, spilling her drink all over someone who was walking in front of her. 

“Oh fuck, I’m so sor-” She started saying before she looked up into the angry eyes of the person who now wore her coffee. “Oh. A fuck indeed.”

Quinn was being a bad person again. She called up her new dealer, and bought some *cough, cough* drugs. It was only weed, what was the harm? As she walked away from her dealer and turned the corner, Quinn saw a familiar face. She walked slower, trying to get an idea of where she’d seen that person’s face. Quinn snapped her fingers when she remembered where she’d seen the girl. Quinn had seen her hanging around her dealer a lot. She thought maybe they were together, but she’d learned quickly that the girl just liked to get high a lot. 

When Quinn got closer, she put a smile on her face and said, “Hey, you know Dylan, right?”

It’d been a while since Quinn had visited the flower shop, but she’d been so busy with her studies that she never had time now. But soon, guilt had started eating at her again, so it was important for her to visit the flower shop. When she walked in, the familiar scent of flowers and plants hit her. It used to make her nauseated, but now the scent was comforting. It helped to ease her pain. 

“Yes, I know, I’m back again. I need a small bouquet today.” she said to Ana, the manager of the flower shop, smiling. “Of... What do you think this time?”

It might not necessarily have been legal to smoke marijuana in public, but then, Jasper wasn’t always inclined to do things based on whether or not the juridical system approved of them. Besides, there were no police--not even those pathetic rent-a-cops--in seeing distance, and the day was so lovely that spending it anywhere but the park seemed blasphemous. And he wasn’t just relaxing, either--perhaps it was the punch he’d taken, but his creativity seemed boundless today, which was why he found himself barefoot in the park in spite of his lingering hangover, blades of dewy grass clinging to his feet, and a joint hanging from his lips with a sprawling canvas laid out in front of him. Buckets of paint lined the perimeter, and his jeans and old Nirvana shirt were covered. There was very little rhyme or reason to the pictures unfolding before him--he was simply letting his mind wander. “What do you think?” he asked of the person passing by him, wiping at his forehead with his arm and smearing pink across his eyebrow. “More blue? Or more purple?”
