Der Narr (The Fool)
The Fool is the seed of the tarot deck. It is the card of pure potential. A silent room just waiting for you to speak.
The fool is unencumbered by worry. He trusts that the universe will catch him if he steps off a cliff. He is ready to take that leap. Thus, he is unafraid to express him self with gaudy clothes and a happy mind. Some say he is an airhead. Some say he is mad. Perhaps he is. That is up for the surrounding cards to determine.
He encourages you to pick yourself back up if you fail. To commit wholeheartedly to your adventure. You might bear scrapes, scars, and pain of many sorts on your journey. But this is your journey. Own it. Break the silence and speak your truth.
In reverse the fool warns of making the same naïve choices again and again to your own detriment. You are not learning from your mistakes. You are being reckless, indecisive, or impatient. He asks you to do better and be better… for YOURself.
Doch was ist das schon für eine Komödie, wenn ich so ganz alleine spiel' und tanz'.
