“Der Schluff” ist wieder da... 

Nach langer Corona-Pause und Überholung im Dampflokwerk Meiningen...

The "Schluff" is back...

After a long Corona break and overhaul in the Meiningen Steam Locomotive Works...

...ist die ölgefeuerte Dampflokomotive 98 8921 – Graf Bismarck XV seit dem 15.Mai.2022 wieder unterwegs. Krefelds historische Dampfeisenbahn fährt Sonntags 3x täglich zwischen den Haltestellen St. Tönis – Krefeld Nordbahnhof – Hüls – Hülser Berg.

Ich hoffe ich kann bald neue Bilder von dieser schönen Lok posten.

...the oil-fired steam locomotive 98 8921 – Graf Bismarck XV is back on the track since May 15th. 2022. Krefeld's historic steam railway runs 3 times a day on Sundays between the stops St. Tönis - Krefeld Nordbahnhof - Hüls - Hülser Berg.

I hope I can post new pictures of this beautiful locomotive soon.

Am 22.05.2022 bin ich voller Erwartungen auf die Strecke des Schluff gefahren um die frisch wiederhergestellte Dampflokomotive auf den Sensor zu bekommen. Nachdem die erste Runde wohl regelgerecht gelaufen ist kam die 2 Fahrt (an der ich mich am Streckenrand postiert hatte) sehr verspätet und leider ohne den Schluff. der hatte wohl technische Probleme und wurde durch eine MaK G 763 C von Rheinhafen Krefeld vertreten. Die Kinder hatten offensichtlich trotzdem ihren Spaß. Es bleibt zu hoffen, das der technische Defekt nicht zu groß ist und wir die Graf Bismarck XV bald wieder im Betrieb zu Gesicht bekommen.

On 22. May 2022 I went to the Schluff track full of expectations to get the freshly restored steam locomotive on the sensor. After the first round had run according to the rules, the second run (on which I had positioned myself at the edge of the track) came very late and unfortunately without the Schluff. It must have had technical problems and was substituted by a MaK G 763 C from Rheinhafen Krefeld. The children obviously had fun anyway. Let's hope that the technical defect is not too big and that we will soon see the Graf Bismarck XV in operation again.
