My disgust with the entire Peter/Pamela Stone thing they pulled on SVU will never ever ever die, BUT. If they HAD to find an actor to play a retconned and superfluous son (perhaps the writers forgot daughters can ALSO grow up to be lawyers), they should have gone with THIS guy:

I've only seen this guy in like two things but he'd be PERFECT:

Tall (did L&O ever cast an actor under 6"1' as a DA lol?)

Endearingly slumpy

Looks like he was born wearing a suit and tie

'OVERWORKED GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE' stamped across face

Soft-spoken but deadly

Striking blue orbs worthy of fanfic rhapsodizing

Quietly intense and a little bit odd and mysterious

Vague resemblance to Ben but prettier (in accordance with show's shifting values -_-)

Palpable internal monologue (GOD I love an actor who can seem like an entire person whether they have lines or not)

Anyway. This is another actor who just has some kind of secret sauce and would have been a worthy successor to the legend.

what do we think he has a doctorate in? I assume it's gotta be important or related to his injury or story somehow bc nothing in this show isn't 😂
