He invites listeners to hit the dance floor by opening with the catchy retro-pop tune “It’s Alright”, while songs like “Won’t Find Me” and “Dress Code” keep them there. He slows it down mid-album with the vocally impressive love ballad “Don’t Say Goodnight” and follows it up with the steamy YouTube favorite “Sexcation”. Rounding out the 6-track compilation is “Rihanna (Poppin)”, the rap song that catapulted the pop singer into the realm of hip-hop last September. Stellar featured appearances by Tiffany Evans, Enso Sinatra, Yung Jar, and Dejuari leave great anticipation for Derek’s debut album in 2013.

"Won't Find Me"

When I wrote my verse to this song, I drew inspiration from one of my friend's many failed relationships. Though I've been able to remain friends with most of my own exes, I admit that there are a few that I would preferably let die of dehydration before I'd offer them an ice cube from my cup. Ever notice how the ones that hurt you the most usually entered the picture with deception? Here was my spin on ending such relationship:
