Aesthetics pt 2
"Your kind disgust me." She spits at him lips curling in disgust. "How could you take the choice of a normal life from a child. He's sixteen!"
Derek doesn't speak, yellow green eyes moving up to hers as her jaw sets. She wonders briefly how fast his teeth would regrow if she kicked them in that perfect mouth of his.
A grimace slips fingers digging into her palms. She knew her temper is by far out of check but she can hardly hold back as he continues to glare at her. It takes everything in her but she waits for him to speak.
She remembers begrudgingly what Chris has always warned her about when it came to her temper. Hunters follow a strict code. You couldn't kill the monsters unless they were doing monstrous things. She understood it to a point.
There was no proof Derek was their man so she has no choice but wait, begging him to give her any reason to turn him over to the Argents. The silence stretches on however and Adele can't figure him out.
He doesn't move to attack her, doesn't glare at her with those blood red alpha eyes. No the wolf just simply glares right back at her his face and eyes nothing but human.
She feels her frustration soar, sure her eyes are nothing more than daggers but she can see the defiance in his gaze, the stubbornness. It was more than relatable for her and just that thought alone is a jolt. She had nothing in common with this mongrel she thinks. Nothing.
Something seems to change in his expression suddenly however and finally he scoffs looking away.
"I didn't bite Scott Mccall." He finally rasps wincing as he shoves himself up to sit, before leaning heavily against the wall. "Only alphas can change humans."
She feels the scoff build and her head shake in disbelief. Did he really believe her to be that daft? In this line of work very few people made the mistake of underestimating her and those who did never made that mistake twice.
"Awfully convenient your sister was torn apart that very same night." Adele sneers back brow arching. "Think we're stupid enough not to know she would inherit alpha status after your mother was killed?"
He scowels face still an unreadable mask yet she doesn't miss pain flare in his eyes.
Adele doesnt stop however, rage shoving any and all sympathy to the back of her mind. This man ruined Scott's life. Scott, sweet teddy bear couldn't kill a spider Scott. The Scott who use to pick her flowers from his neighbors yard when she was crying from a bad day with her mom's illness. The same Scott who was the best freind her little brother could ever ask for. No this monster didn't deserve her sympathy
Her eyes are hard colder than ice as she throws him a sarcastic grin quipping, "Experience a little sibling rivalry growing up Hale?"
Derek scoffs and the pain in his eyes this time is unmistakable. The anger that follows however flashes in those eyes of his, an anger she can practically feel matches her own.
"I didn't kill my sister." He snarls and before she can argue his eyes glow a piercing icy blue.
Well shit, she thinks, Things just got far more complicated.
'Yellow green eyes opened slowly as Adele stared. Her heart feeling heavy momments before much lighter when Derek slowly moved his eyes up meeting her own. A million emotions she never expected seemed to flow through her all at once.
Tears burned her eyes, lips trembling, with a knot swelling in her throat. He seemed to register her tied up in the chair in front of him, however, because emotions flash through his own gaze as well. It settles on a look of panic flashing through his gaze before fangs are beared in Kate's direction when she steps forward.
"Damn it all to hell!" The young woman snarls as the wolf beside her sighs."This whole plan is bogus."
"This was you're plan remeber." Derek says with a raise of his brows.
Adele only smirks, brows raising playfully as she gives a nod, "Fair enough sour wolf."
"You know I hate it when you call me that."
A monster was what the others saw. A killer. A animal. However peering into those yellow green eyes that night he saved hee life for the first of many she saw something else. And it changed everything.
