Meet the Delts

Dervin: Human wizard who is Tired(tm) and just wants to be left alone with his books. The introvert friend who got adopted by a couple of extroverts

Ereven: Depressed and alcoholic half-elf ranger with a better sleight of hand than the rogue. Good guy, though he did drug the wizard in an attempt to get him to talk about his emotions.

Lylah: Elven Arrow of Soutali (cleric), tried to make the Bad Guy into her sugar daddy, ended up becoming High Queen’s-wife of Otherias. Had a +7 to Animal Handling at one point.

Taya: Half-drow barbarian from the Western Kingdom of Otherias. Total sweetheart, but Will Crush You.

Sorhul: Southern Eeunsun (kinda like a faerie but different?), rogue with an arcana score near equal to the wizard. Has tried to steal many things, has successfully stolen only a few things. Got corrupted by a monster skull because they touched it, continued to touch random things afterward.

Devungus

Mushtool + Dervin

A devilish mushroom with a collar of tendrils that it uses to ensnare prey and shove it into it's maw. If it loses it's tendrils, devungus will instead swing it's head around like a sledgehammer to crush it's prey until it's tendrils grow back.

Pipfall

Pippin + Dervin

Under the influence of darkness, a Pippin grew into a powerful warrior, it’s golden halo broken and a fiery red and it’s silver wings stained a dark black. Pipfall is vicious when hunting and even more so when fighting.

Goovil

Goober + Dervin

After consuming the power of a dervin, a goober evolved into this form. It’s three, fiery eyes, which can freely look in any direction, and it’s dark red horns are the only solid parts of it’s body, which it can freely move around it’s body. Children seem to not be too threatened by it’s appearance, but older tamers shudder in fright at it’s silhouette.

writing advice: don't worry, you only need two or three levels of answers to make it seem like they go infinitely deeper, thus giving the illusion of a fully developed world!

me: if i don't know how every pebble got to where it is now or how this one guy managed to see something mortals shouldn't have and ended up summoning a magic surge that tied magic to his internal biological systems then everything will fall apart
