The breeze was gently walking through wheatfields near and far; the woods were softly talking so bright shone ev’ry star. And, oh, my soul extended its wings through skies to roam: O’er quiet lands suspended, my soul was flying home. Joseph von Eichendorff At first I had a green background in mind, similar to Chris Cheng's @colorvscolour owl in Secret garden. But my son said that the round thing had to be a moon - that's when Eichendorff crossed my mind. And now the story begins that tells why I love this coloring community so much: In any case, the poem had to find a place on the page. I remembered Isabell's @passionistacolorista wonderful tutorial on how to put text on a background. But how do you match white text on a black background? It was Agnes @agnesperger, who gave me a leg up: In Isabell's Advent calendar she showed how she pressed the outlines of stones into the paper with a wooden pen. So I wrote the poem on the white paper with a toothpick and then - like a detective - brought it to light by painting over it with a black pencil - it was magical! For the bright yellow flowers I got inspiration from the wonderful @szafoe - check out her last post, it's just adorable!
