can you do the favorite character asks for descensus pretty please 💕
(and if you can’t find a character for each category, that’s okay 😌)
DESCENSUS YES LET'S GO
blorbo: see, you'd think it would be Lumen, right, given that the text explicitly focuses on her most of the time and also i think she's great and my character loves her? but NOPE Eneri my beloved is The Blorbo Of Choice. She deserves so much better but alas there isn't always a good choice here.
OH and of course LANAYNE the QUEEN. Listen, sometimes the diversity win is that the necromancer that's totally gonna beat you up without even using magic is a lesbian, and you know??? we deserve it. Lanayne can't show up for two seconds with another woman before everyone is like....is she?????
Scrunkly: hmmm I'm gonna put Lumen here but in a more sad and twisted way tbh. She's just so...naive and is totally gonna get broken and i see it coming and it hurts but also i'm like weirdly into it, so right now she's scrunkly but check in on that in like part 2 or whenever
Scrimblo bimblo: I'm gonna say that queen Senva is underrated, okay? i think she's so cool and I would write her in all sorts of situations (and i mean...eyes my holiday prompts...) Genuinely would wanna interact with her just for the sheer delightful nonsense, as long as I could walk away lmao.
glup shitto: XOLL. I've invented a whole backstory for this man without prompting because I refuse to believe that he's that boring and that his little brother got all of the personality. No. Nope. Illegal. I'm obsessed with him.
poor little meow meow: ughhhh i feel like the text DEMANDS that I say adran, even if i wanna be difficult and choose someone else. it really says something that this man sucks so badly that the only way I feel any sympathy towards him is that other people care about him so much, but regardless, this man Defines the poor little meow meow trope. If it wasn't for his casual halfling racism, his constant betrayal, and the fact that he's just an absolute dick I would maybe consider liking him. But in the context of descensus where we don't see that, everyone would totally pick him, if i'm honest, and if i didn't know him better, i would too
i would love to say marion but we haven't seen him yet :( let me have my slutty hot drow noble please
horse plinko: ...can i PLEASE plinko adran????
It would be super funny tho to plinko Eldon who's just trying to make cheese with his wife and his cheese children, and i think it would be hilarious to plinko Lanayne in the name of science. Let me see what happens This Time *hits button yet again*
eeby deeby: lolth goes to superhell. not even a question here, slavery isn't cool and she's kinda a bitch about it and she needs to COOL DOWN, so superhell seems like a good place for a ~timeout~

Yanois story that started all this, Doc’s origin story
Summary: War is unlike the other gods, but one who now is nessecary. This is how They came to be in the state They are now
War is very different from all the other gods. They was a human killed in the battle between the gods and the mortals, Death unable to claim Their soul as She reaped the battlefield for any creature that was close to death and wasn't getting any treatment.
Death paused above the human, not flinching at the hateful glare He received. "Curious," Death mumbled as She touched the force field protecting the being. It flickered under His touch but did not yield.
"We loved you," hissed the human through clenched teeth, blood flowing out of the fatal stab wound. "We loved every single one of you and you repay us with taking everything away? I hate you. I hope you burn in hell!"
Death hummed. "Death is a strange thing, mortal, and one that cannot touch me. Now, tell me who's protection you're under."
"Fuck you!"
With a shake of Her head, Death left the human alone. They would die either way, whether He would or not fetch them.
---
Death was long gone when the human cried out in rage, fear and grievance. They truly loved the gods once, but seeing their loved ones die thanks to a selfish god, they knew they had to do something. But staring Death in the eye and proclaiming their hate? It wasn't the gods they hated. It was this- this thing that was happening. It was taking more lives than what Harvest would've done.
With another grief filled scream, they felt anger fill them up. Was there no god to oversee this kind of thing? Was there no one responsible?
As darkness claimed them, their final thought was the wish that they could fix this.
---
When Death returned to the body, She was surprised to see the human sit up, and the wound gone. "Well," He said as he stopped closer, "you humans are certainly curious."
As They raised their head, Death knew that She wasn't looking at a human anymore. "Pray tell, what's your name?"
The god, born from a human desire and with no divine touch to them, grinned and Death could see the strong desire in them. "Google, and I am War."
---
War thrived on the battle between the gods and the humans, claiming more lives than Death and Life wanted. Despite being one of them, War helped the humans more than the gods.
The gods begged Life and Death for help, helpers have been slaughtered in a worrying pace and gods are falling as well. So they discussed what they should do, they did not wish for this to happen. Especially this war. They knew they couldn't do this alone, so they turned to Truth and asked for help.
"Lies was the one who gave the humans the first weapon," Truth told them. "He will be able to create something to counter War."
With rage, Death cornered Lies and threatened Him. In fear, Lies promised to help, and he did what was told. Four days later, He approached the two gods with a delicate weapon in his hands.
"This weapon, my Lords," He said as He held it out to Life, "will shatter a god's essence into pieces. You know just as I, not all gods can be killed, and I'm afraid War is one of them. But this beauty will break the god apart to something you should be able to handle."
Life looked at Truth who nodded that He spoke the truth.
"A dangerous weapon you have created," Life said, worry in His voice. He reached for it, but His hand stopped inches from the hilt. "And very powerful."
Death pulled Life back from the weapon. "And one who will shatter us the moment we touch it, no?"
Lies paled and opened His mouth to defend Himself, but a soft voice spoke before he could.
"I will take the duty of taking down War," one of Life's helpers said as they took a step forward. She smiled at her Lord. "I'm something the mortals can kill, thus this sword will not shatter me."
Life looked at the helper with sad eyes. Death held a comforting hand on His shoulder. "Alright," Life said and motioned the helper to get closer to Lies. "We'll leave this to you."
The helper bowed and took the weapon before she began her journey.
---
The battle between War and the helper was fierce and would stay in the gods' minds for a long time.
But at last the helper struck War and with a scream, They shattered into four pieces. Blue, who was coldblooded. Red, who was filled with rage. Green, who was cunning. Yellow, who was determined.
With War shattered, everyone's minds eased and all put their weapons down. In celebration, the helper was named Peace.
---
In Their shattered form, War was easy to deal with. They were allowed to walk among the gods without a sneer thrown their way. Eventually they discovered that one piece would die, only to be reborn as a human before rejoining it's siblings.
It started with Blue. Then Yellow, Red and lastly Green. Around and around it went. And with each reincarnation, the siblings found their missing piece fairly quickly.
This time is an odd one though. No matter how they search, they cannot find Blue. It's as if something is calming down the brewing storm a piece of War has under their skin. The gods are worried, but there is nothing they can do. If a god wants to hide, it would need a miracle to find them.
---
"Hey, Blue?"
Blue hummed but didn't look up from the book he was reading.
"I love you."
Blue looked up at Bing, his face close to his own and a bright smile on his lips. Blue smiled back and leaned in to give Bing a chaste kiss. "Love you as well."
