1. What influenced or inspired the creation of this character?

I went full trope with his character,  he’s the reluctant hero, the last of his kind, asshole with a heart of gold, etc.  I purposely built his character as a riff on Trevor Belmont, Van Helsing, even Carver Hawke.  

6. Do they have any bad habits?

Cassian IS a bad habit lmao. 

13. Does your character consider themselves lucky?

No, he definitely does not.  D:

i wish i could afford a commission from you atm -- your b/w lineart reminds me so much of the beautiful old fairytale illustrations that i am absolutely obsessed with (like arthur rackham and kay nielson). anyway, look forward to more of your stuff!!

@ridethefrostback​ oh there are already pseudo-asian peoples and places. I doubt there’s anything hugely new, just expounded upon and developed.

Yeah, I’ve seen them in the 5e dmg, phb, and other published content. I’m always wary when WotC touches upon their pseudo-asian content because it’s a lot of the same rehashed “Fantasy China” or “Fantasy Japan” concepts that are typically poorly researched :\

I’d love to be optimistic, but from past experience (and content I’ve seen from them and TTRPGs in general) I’m just wary and Tired.

However, I am excited for their naval/nautical content though. I wonder if they decided that was needed after Matt Mercer basically had to homebrew a bunch of it LOL
