Made up fic title: Desecrate

Don't judge me, literally the first thing that popped in my mind. If fucking in graveyards isn't your thing, don't go on.

You're running through a dark graveyard, stumbling over broken stones, hip-checking around ones you are trying to dart around.

And someone is so close that if you look back, you're caught.

But its no good, your thrown forward, bent over a stone and his heavy body leans against you, pinning you against a damp cold stone, the moss just cushioning it and you catch the name on it, unbelievable.

Its your name.

And then a familiar voice just dripping with darkness brushes against your ear, the mustache tickling the sensitive spot. "I promised you Dove that I wasn't letting you rest in peace. Your mine to desecrate. First your mind, then it was your body and now your soul."

Lloyd wrapped a hand around your head, jerking it back so he could look down at you, souless eyes staring at you. "I promised you the night we died you were never going to be free of me. Continue trying to make your way out of this cemetery. I do love chasing your spirit over these hallowed grounds every night."

Happy STS! What inspired the design of your main character?

Hiii!! Happy STS!! I hope you are doing well today!!

There are a handful of places I draw inspiration from for the design of my characters, so let's go through them!

Icarus

Icarus' look spawns from a few different places, but the biggest influence was Dabi from My Hero. Wild to hear given how not like Dabi he ended up looking, but that's where I drew a lot of inspo from!

From there, I ended up bringing inspiration from the punk subculture that I'm a part of in Cleveland! At the time of writing, I had noticed a pretty big techwear wave within the alt groups I knew, and I leaned heavily into that look for him. Somehow, Dabi + Techwear + my need for my MCs to be redheads equalled this:

Kit

I really wanted to lean into the looks I grew up with when it came to Kit! So lots of work wear, lots of tattered clothes. Basically anything I saw people wearing in the fields or to school as someone who attended a rural school that had a "Bring Your Tractor To School" Day.

As far as his physical appearance, I really wanted Kit to look as "normal" as possible. I wanted him to be an every man, someone that you could look at and he kinda just looks like anybody. In the end we got this:

Kodi

Kodi is the easiest and most straightforward answer. He is me! I didn't mean to make Kodi look like me, I just gave Yune the description of: A fat Appalachian trans man who is disabled, walks using a forearm crutch or a cane, with a mohawk that has white roots and is dyed red, wearing tattered work overalls and a tank underneath, with a wrought iron torc around his neck. Oh and he has a scar through his right eye leading to being blind in that eye, the other eye is brown. (for lore reasons I haven't revealed just yet)

That is me. I showed my mom the comm and she went "i thought you were getting art of a character??" because it looks so much like me. So uh, yeah.

Happy WBW! What are some of the unique creatures or species that inhabit your world?

Happy WBW! I hope you're having a wonderful day!!

This is a really fun question and I'm really excited to finally get to talk about some stuff I have planned for D'Jeet? WIP!!

Before we get there, though: Adonai in Desecrate. They are God (at least one of them in this world) and They are a lot of fun. Basically, They are a really cool humanoid being with ram qualities! They wear a ram's skull over Their face (that has fused to Their face from how long it's been worn) and They have hooves and goat-esque legs. I'm doing a really bad job explaining this, you can see what I mean in this artwork by Jacqueline Illustrates:

And then in D'Jeet? WIP I have cool/unique animals out the wazoo! There is a whole push in the book by the Main Character to give "unwanted" farm animals a home. The animals that are a little out of place, the ones that most people would look at and only be able to see their deformities. I haven't solidified which animals look like what, but I did base this idea off these specific animals:

ANYWAYS D'Jeet? WIP is full of unique animals like this! I just find them so fun!!

oooooo there are so many good ones, but i just something for Kit and Benny that I have not been able to stop thinking about so we'll go with them today:

“It just feels like so much. this was the first time you hooked up with someone without telling me first and I know that doesn’t matter, that I may hold your soul but I have no claim on your body, but it still hurts. And these dreams, it feels like you’re moving away from me, like you’re slipping into a place where I can’t follow you.” He swipes his thumb over her cheek another time, hoping the gesture will be soothing for her. He doesn’t know what to say, doesn’t know how to reassure her that he isn’t going anywhere. this is where he was always meant to be, in her arms. He wouldn’t trade that for the world. If only he could tell her that. “I can hear you thinking, babe. I know, I’m just getting all up in my head about this. Now take me home so we can get some real food in you, okay?” She says with a smile, patting his hands before guiding them away from her face and towards the steering wheel. “You’ve got it, darlin’.”
