Ever hear of the Wheel Spider of Souther Africa? They’re called that for their ability to cartwheel away from parasitic wasps. So naturally, cartwheeling desert driders should be a thing.

I just imagined them putting on acrobatic shows for tourists:

Fluffy rodent folk (based on jerboa etc.) riding giant iridescent beetles and oryx-, camel-, and gazelle-taurs; naga folk doing amazing, hypnotic aerial work from long silks; insect folks doing leaps in synchrony..; jumping and cartwheeling drider folk doing a dramatic kind of ballet with wasp folk in the air...; dragonfolk and thorny lizard folk eating fire; desert orcs lifting incredible weights/other monsters... Oh man, I need to write this setting now... Thank you for the inspiration!!

Okay in this desert circus, would an ooze make for a good safety net for acrobats? They could stretch themselves out to ensure a soft and squishy landing

Love that! Yes! Though the slimes and oozes will have to be very careful about the low humidity.
