Summary:

Phil’s not lonely, because senior agents don’t get lonely, and, besides, there’s always work to keep him busy, but sometimes - occasionally - he’ll see friends with their loved ones and wish for a pack of his own.

Good thing Clint and his daughter Kate are about to come into his life, then.  Soon Phil will have complications he could never have dreamed of, an alpha puppy with a real personality, a legal question, and a boyfriend who wants to risk the Bite.

Things are about to get interesting....

Can I just say that I'm doing a co-write with arsenicjade and I'm having an absolute blast? I am. I really, really am. I just wrote five hundred words of a non-sexual age-play fic and it's Tony-centric, and both of those things are things I have not done before. I love it.

I am also writing a follow-up to the Clint/Coulson plus Barney reconciliation story I did a photo fic about, and desertneon is helping me with it. It's also a blast.

Wow. Writing is so fun!

Fic Rec: So this is the story of Phil's cellist. I know, I know, some of us don't really want to read about her (okay, maybe it was just me), but this is the story of them from her point of view, and it's a gorgeous point of view.I really couldn't put this story down.

Seriously, she is a very cool character: realistic, not overly dramatic, not a lampshade, and not someone for us to hate or resent. Oh, and it's a Clint/Coulson story. Really, it's a story about Phil's cellist and Clint, and the friendship they strike up as they realize that they're both in love with the same person is heartwarming and fun. Clint is wonderful in this story - it gives me even more headcanon reasons to love him.

So yeah. Original characters done right are excellent things, in my opinion, and this story is proof.

Can I please have Clint/Coulson, gay/bi/kinsey scale 1 epiphany? Like, hey, wow, never been attracted to a guy before (or maybe just never admitted it to himself) but this guy really does it for me? For either Phil or Clint, doesn't matter to me which one. And then happy times!

Now he was sitting at their usual lunch spot, just a short walk with in HQ, and Phil was sitting across him fiddling with his cup, and looking so nervous that it actually pained Clint to watch. Phil Coulson should never look nervous like that. 

"Phil," Clint hesitated and laid his hand gently over Phil's. Phil stopped fiddling with the tea cup and looked at Clint with wide blue eyes. "What's wrong." 

Phil blurted out, "I'm attracted to you." Clint blinked. 

"What?" 

Phil sighed. "I've come to the realization that I am attracted to you, in love with you even, and have probably been for quite some time now." 

"Oh.." Clint couldn't really wrap his mind around what was happening. He had imagined a thousand different scenarios and not one of them involved Phil telling Clint he was in love with him. 

"I realize that this make you uncomfortable and I completely understand if you wouldn't want to see me anymore, but I couldn't keep this from you any longer and I-"

"Phil?" Phil's mouth snapped shut and he gave Clint a questioning look. "Aren't you straight?" 

Phil laughed, and it sounded just a little bit hysterical, and Clint got the impression that Phil had been asking this himself for a long while now. 

"Fuck if I know," Phil tried to smile but it looked pained and that made Clint regret asking the question at all. "I never really thought about it before."

"Its not a bid deal Phil, I mean, if its any consolation," Clint squeezed Phil's hand lightly and made sure the other man was looking at him. "I'm more then okay with you being attracted to me, and I would very much like to explore this attraction."

"Yeah?"

"Hell yeah."
