“quick question?” felicia said, not looking up from her place in the bed. pain killers made it hard to focus. if she wasn’t being pumped full of morphine she’d already have this IV out. “Is your name lydia ruiz navarro de hardy? because if not, then you’re not my mom, and you’re not the boss of me.” what woman in her thirties still listened to her mom? felicia certainly did. She hissed as she pulled the IV out. “son of a fucking bitch, that hurts. okay, i’m done playing with it now,” she said, as she started pulling off her other wires, and hook ups, and things attaching her to the monitor, much more quickly since they weren’t inserted into her with needles. or tapped on.

“we’re all supposed to be something better than we are. all meant to be something more and yet… it never works out that way, does it?” it was exactly what it looked like. the little spider got… angry. the little spider took it’s rage out on everyone around him, but it never would be enough. he’d always end up doing more - he’d always end up hurting more people. an endless cycle with no end in sight.
“i’m meant to be many things. hero, savior, the best of them all, but in the end? i don’t think i’m any of them.” oh, he tried - he actually attempted to be better. to see if was actually possible, but these days? it didn’t seem like it would be any use ( not anymore ) so he quit trying. he stopped his attempts and simply did what he wanted… even if lives were lost in the process.
