❝All I want for Christmas... ❞ @definitemadman
Sing a song of gladness and cheer, for the time of Christmas is here. Look around about you and see, what a world of wonder this world can be---
The song ended abruptly, as Clara's fingers switched off the radio. The room fell into silence, and the young girl shut her eyes. Even now in the complete darkness and silence she could hear the melody of Christmas carol, the long faded scent of gingerbread and the laughter of someone long lost. She found her legs moving toward the front door, her hands reaching out for her coat and set of keys, with a tiny replica of TARDIS attached to them. Giving one last look at the sad looking Christmas tree that decorated her living room, she left the building.
Clara wasn't quite sure where she was heading, she just knew she had to keep moving, because she felt like the walls was crushing her. In an hour or so, after wandering around in the snowy winter night, she found herself at the empty playground. She sat down at the the swings, closing her eyes once again. All she wished for on Christmas was to be able believe once again.
