I think that the part I like the most about Zero Escape is the character designs. After all, in a market full of visual novels with candy haired protagonists, and love interests with breasts the size of their head, ZE takes a realistic take on their designs. With most characters having realistic hair colors, and looking like they are their age. (Looking at you Clover, Santa, Snake, and Lotus) It really helps sell the immersion into the horror, like this could take place in the real world.
