It's hard not to get annoyed when I get weird no context emails and have to produce design results. Boss emails me attachments with 0 instructions. OK so now I have to ask just the right questions to get the project started. Maybe like........ tell me what you want so I don't have to guess???? Can you do that? a deadline perhaps? instructions please??????????

A big thank you

To the sales guy who sent me dimensions for advert artwork but got them the wrong way round so I've now got to reshuffle a mornings work

I've never wanted to give out anon-hate until I saw someone's blog theme that looked like it was designed on a toaster running windows 3.1

Ticket in the system: "Add these two images, link each picture to their appropriate links, then add this text under them."

Support Guy/Wannabe Designer: There is this jquery function that you can add to the page that gives the page its own css code to do that.

Me: Or, you know, you could just fucking hyperlink the images instead of doing some bullshit.

Hashtag: This is why you are never going to be a designer.

Co-worker: I think on the 3rd template I'm going to change it to 4 call-to-action buttons

Me: i think you should change it to one button

Me: and it just say "fuck you"

Co-worker: heh

Me: in small letters of course

Me: and then the part underneath says "click here to fuck off"

Co-worker: Somebody's feeling sassy this morning

A site design that my customer chose has a large slideshow in it that requires images in it be a minimum 1500px wide.

Once again, I received new collateral from a customer where they blew their tiny images up to that pixel size so the images are jpeg'd to hell. 

Another bonus, they managed to blue up the sky just the tiniest bit by magic wanding it and then plopping in blue. It looks like how you'd imagine it looked.

Second bonus, I had the blue sky incident happen on collateral that came from a "design studio," if it could be called that.

The colours are PERFECT.

SCREW THE FACT THAT THEY'RE SCHOOL COLOURS.

THAT LITERALLY NEVER OCCURRED TO ME.

the only difference between being a design student and being an actual designer is this: "change this or you won't get a good grade" becomes "change this or you won't get paid"
