I notvie you have robot ocs and like SPG!! im trying to make an automaton oc (outside the spg Universe!) but im having trouble making the face robotic but also look how I want it to if that makes sense? It seems like nothing I draw makes me feel like "Aha its perfect!" whats some advice for making a robot character and some tips for drawing them? ( I do digital art as a hobby/non professional career!)

Well, I guess the main thought process I go through when making a robot character is, 1. What’s the main function? 2. How old is it/ it’s parts? 3. How human-ish is it? And then I just go on to think about its materials, textures, parts, how intricate/simple it is, and if the parts serve to the function or just mobility? Here’s just a few notes.
