Welcome to designer Geraldine Prieur’s over-the-top Paris apt. 

At the entrance, the walls were painted Prussian blue, a hue echoed by the rug under the curvy furniture.

The living room of the historic apt. is done in a pink color that Geraldine created. She combined contemporary artwork with historic and vintage furniture. A key piece is the shoe chair that she bought at a flea market.

Giant ant figures adorn the wall.

The dining room features yellow and blue elements. The Murano chandelier perfectly matches the glass dining table and the curvy dining chairs Geraldine designed to fit her apartment.

Slightly more neutral, the kitchen is accented with orange ceiling lamps and  curtains.

The walls in the main bdr. and en suite are malachite green. The French designer is a color expert. In her home, she has created a wonderful, vibrant world that is both daring and elegant.

Designer, stylist, model, and cat-mom Stella lives and works in this small, very pink Brooklyn, New York City rental apartment.

Fashion is apparent as a decor theme even in the entry hallway, displaying her hat collection.

The hall is also decorated with her handmade hats.

The pillows are her own design. 

Stella says you can make the shabbiest apt. look incredible with the right styling.

She has toys all over the house.

Every apt. she’s lived in has had the same pink color on the walls.

The comforter also goes with her from apt. to apt.

Mementos include a pic of a poodle her mother owned.

Paris designer Vincent Darré is the king of surrealist, maximalist interiors. This is the entrance to his own outrageous apt.

It looks like most of the surrealism consists of art, unusual patterns and a mix of unique furniture pieces.

The puzzle piece chairs are interesting- I would have to see if they actually fit together. Look at the huge bug on the wall. 

This actually a beautiful example of Art Nouveau. And, a skull. 

Look at this kitchen. It was actually featured in a book. Geesh- so wide stripes actually fit a smaller kitchen.

That wallpaper is an optical illusion. When I first saw it, it looked like cut-out wood panels. 

He also combines patterns on the wall.

The bedroom is pretty tame, considering.

The bath is actually very pretty.

Lorenza, a designer of fashion & interiors, has a colorful older apt. in Milan, Italy combining old and new. The living room is monochromatic blue with a timber wall housing a storage closet.

Lorenza’s studio has 2 1940s glass-topped storage cabinets, plus a custom made pouf. Look at the hat collection on top of the shelving. 

The study is a more serene green. The whole apt. features many of Lorenza’s own designs, such as the pouf.

The kitchen, behind a glass wall, is very different. The floor is a geometric optical illusion and the backsplash is 3D.

Dani & Bello live in a large apt. in Miami, Florida. Dani pulls a lot of her home's interior inspiration from the Art Deco era, but also nods to the 1960s, 1990s, and even some mid-century modern vibes, too.

Dani says the apt. is a challenge to decorate b/c it’s such a strange layout. I wish they would've shown more kitchen, I’d've liked to see the purple light on the cabinets. 

“Almost 90% of my furniture is secondhand. I’m a big thrifter and collector. Every single art piece I own is secondhand or vintage, even all of the pieces on my 12’ x 9’ gallery wall,” says Dani. 

Her favorite room is the guest room where she spends most of her time filming for her social media. For some reason, this room gives her such good energy.

"This is the bedroom where I have the amazing pink Post Modern bed set. It’s one of my favorite pieces I’ve ever found; I bought it at an estate sale in Miami," she says. "Since I’m a decorator I normally buy pieces for future clients and this was one of them but as soon as I brought the set home I fell in love and haven’t been able to get rid of it since."

This is the main bedroom. I would put the pink set in here. 

This giant 100-pound coffee table book, by the artist David Hockney is one of her most prized possessions.

Furniture designer Peter is not afraid to make a statement. His apt. was a blank canvas when he moved in. His friend Angus bought the London flat, was using it as a studio and looking for a tenant. Felix told him, “I’m going to live here. This is my house. This is perfect.”

Felix purchases a lot of his furnishings from charity and junk shops, markets, and hardware stores. “There is almost nothing that is ‘new new.’ The things that are new have been changed and repurposed,” he says. “The kitchen island is a coffee table on top of a pedestal.

“As the days draw shorter, I like to change the colors in the flat,” Felix says. He picked the white for the sofa to bring more light into the space.

The bedroom is all about yellows and pinks. “Those are warm, wonderful, sleeptime colors,” he says.

You can see color as soon as you enter the hall of Sara’s color-blocked Stockholm home. The hall has also become her and her friend’s art projects. 

Sara lived here with white walls for six months before she came to the fore with coloring. The living room was divided by two color fields. The far part used for concentration and writing was painted in dark blue, while the rest turned light gray. The cool Plexiglas house is Sara’s work.

Look at how beautifully the house acts a prism and casts a rainbow glow on the floor.

The moldings and door, which lead into the dining room, have been painted orange - the color of creativity. The shelf is a second-hand purchase.

Sara wanted a pink dining room because pink is a happy and social color.

From the dining room, a door leads into a yellow corner inspired by the color-blocking style. Yellow is a positive color that should provide energy.

The warm green shade on the walls has been combined with a cooler green on moldings, window linings and accents. The result is a quiet environment that fits in a bedroom.

This is the Milan apt. of Nelcya and Fabrizio who own a carpet company that makes area rugs of their own designs. Their stylish home has many of their rugs and they really are works of art.

Aside from the rugs, I love their design style- a pink globe and a trio of flamingos. 

They are maximalists and have a collections of such fun things.

The rug in the living room looks like a maze.

Their art collection is so much fun and it goes great against light blue walls.

Their kitchen seating is set up like a restaurant, which is unusual. 

Look at the glass wall on the landing.

Antique desk on the landing has black ghost chair that goes beautifully with it and it’s also used as a display piece.

They have a deep display wall for a headboard. 

It’s looks like a custom made piece b/c on the other side is a bath.

Notice how they enclosed the soft sculpture flower in plexiglass to protect it from the steam.

And, this is also one of their carpet designs in the bedroom.
