Do you like persimmon pudding? 🍁 . . The persimmons are just starting to fall and making a pudding is a lot of work. So I’ve never tried to make one. 🤪 . . My mama made the best! 😋 She didn’t mind the picking up, the getting the debris out of the soft persimmons, the washing and the straining that goes into getting enough pulp to make a pudding. . . Whew! It’s cooler today and the porch looks even more inviting! 🥰 . . Today is final preparation for my Girls Brunch! 🎉🎉 . . Industrial staircase! 😍😍😍 . . If you’ve read my blog post about planning our forever farmhouse house, you know we had a list of priorities for this home. The metal railing was certainly one of the top. . . Although we had some resistance to this idea, I’m so glad we didn’t give in to it. . . I find that resistance comes from those who don’t think outside the box. Your creative ideas may not be the norm for them. So they try to talk you out of the idea. 😬 . . So the loft has a touch of Fall 🍁 going on! 🧡🤗 . . It’s the place we relax most nights once we come inside from the porch. We’ve filled it with our vintage and repurposed treasures. The industrial cart turned TV stand, the antique trunk that serves as a side table. The antique side chair that we’ve held on to for years. . . This little corner is great for reading and wrapping up in this crocheted thrift store find. I love that it is a handmade piece that someone spent many hours making. So glad to display it proudly. . . Maybe I should recover the chair! What do you think? . . .
