Warm up sketch turned into the first Desilva I’ve drawn in a while and I’m very happy to draw my good old piece of hot beef jerky again
I can’t believe I haven’t posted these yet! Whoops! My dear friends Paige and Chris are getting married next month, and I couldn’t be happier for them. They’re now an adventure team for life! The logo was commissioned for their invites and such, and the portrait was a shower gift. If you’re looking for a similar sort of gift for family or friends, get in touch!
Trying out some new rendering in my favorite flavor, gold, but boy do I hate rendering…
I ended up thinking I had a lot more done this year in part because I’ve felt real growth in my style and made a lot of pieces I’m truly proud. Even though these are all from the last few months I’m feeling very good about the art I’ve made for 2019.
I didn’t plan to do Inktober of any kind this year but then I saw @fayren‘s OC-Tober on the twitster and I liked the idea too much not to take a crack at it. If/when I do more from their list I’ll probably just do the corresponding day or one close enough that had a theme I like. For instance, today’s the 3rd and #3′s theme was ‘Smoke’! So here’s a clutch of my boys ala that painting of dogs playing poker. I didn’t intend for this to get as finished or be as complex and it is but that felt right for a first in the OC-Tober series so there you go. I can tell you I love drawing my ocs but it’s been so long that I fully forgot how hot Roy is, god damn...
I plan on making the terrible mistake of playing a bard in what would be my only second game of DnD. I wanted to try Desilva out as a few DnD races just to see what he’d look like (being an elf fits all too well but I hate elves so he’ll likely be a Tabaxi)
Little less finished work than I anticipated this year but it was also a good year for sketches, here’s some of my favorites.
