i had an exhausting day. i had my first calc test & since it’s a blocked class (aka 2 periods put together) it was a lot. and i dont think i did great, plus it was my first class of the day so it really puts a damper on things. then i had an essay in english that sucked && a test in latin (that wasn’t bad, but still TEST). so when i got home i watched youtube & took a nap to recharge before cheer practice which is in an hour, so i’ll be productive after practice. this is just a reminder to take a break when you feel like you need one & not to push yourself to the brink at the beginning.

i finally took some more pics of my notes today, so i have some actual nice content. i had a math test today that i feel alright about, & i have a psych test tomorrow. so i’ve gotta study for that, but i’ve got practice too. a busy day

tonight i cracked part of the code to an important plot component
update for myself in the future - it's not the exact shades and shapes of the story i started with in january. it's better, because it's shifting and shaping and changing and i am letting go of stubbornness so that i can keep chipping away at all that is not this story. it might look different in a few months, but it'll be in a better way. it feels like true progress and reminds me i am writing something worthwhile.
i love my friends for asking me how my book is going but i hate not having anything more interesting to tell them…like well….i am still developing the plot and my characters! that’s it! i wish i could say more! hopefully one day soon the blueprints will be sufficient and i will actually start the shitty first draft!
we’ve reached the first major writers block
